Imelda's Daycare

My Name is Imelda. I have two beautiful daughters; 13 & 8 years old.
I have 8 years of working in a Daycare setting. I decided to obtain my DCFS license to open a home daycare to provide the highest quality childcare, through a combination ofeducation, experience, a positive attitude and most importantly the love for children.<br/><br/>I offer English and Spanish Language and we believe in respecting any family culture and beliefs, giving them the opportunity to feel free to share or give any comments or ideas. <br/><br/>My home daycare is a safe and happy place where parents can trust and children can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially at their own pace with the positive guidance of adults.<br/><br/>I believe that each child is an individual with his own special interests and abilities, and children learn by doing what comes naturally through play!<br/><br/>My Program Mission: is to assist and support working parents and their families. Specializing in the education of 6 weeks-12 years old by providing an environment that is welcoming, secure, nurturing, educational and fun for their children<br/><br/>My Curriculum: Our program is licensed by the State of Illinois. I use the Creative Curriculum; it focuses on social emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development. The components of the curriculum are applied in different learning areas: art, library, discovery, sand and water, music and movement, blocks, dramatic play, and outdoors activities.<br/><br/>Staff: I am educated in early childhood education and CPR and First Aid. We are experienced and caring individuals that love working with children and their families.<br/><br/>Nutrition: I provide nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for the well being of the children.<br/><br/>We offer Full Day, Half Day and Before and After School.<br/><br/>My Goals: Provide an atmosphere that is appealing, secure,comfortable, friendly, and nurturing for children to learn and socialize.<br/>Give affection, support, and trust to the families in the program.<br/>Create a learning environment through play.<br/>Guide children in development of appropriate social interaction so they can be socially competent.… Read more
