**HERO CAMP: SMART AND ACTIVE**
Hero Camp is a small in house summer camp that is designed to maintain smart and active minds and bodies for each individual child on a daily basis. The camp's teacher to child ratio is 2:4 for optimal safety and individual attention. We can not watch children younger than 3 years of age for safety purposes.
The top three goals of camp are:
1. Review math, science, and language arts skills learned over the previous school year.
2. Prepare children for the upcoming school year by introducing new concepts in math, science, and language arts.
3. Make sure each child is having a lot of active outdoor and indoor fun!
The Learning
- Each child will receive a personalized summer activity book at the beginning of the summer.
- The activity books will be chosen based upon grade and desired academic progress throughout the summer as specified by parents. Some parents may wish for their children to simply review previous material while some may wish to give their children a head start on next year's material.
- Each activity book will follow common core standards!
- Workbooks will be kept at camp but, will be available for parents to look at every day.
The Fun
- Every week our camp will embark on 2 or 3 field trips.
- Trip locations will be selected from a parent approved list. Locations include: the community pool, Sparkles of Kennesaw, Skyzone of Kennesaw, Regal Town Center, Swift Cantrell Park, Hickory Hills/Tumlin Park
- Weekly calendars will be made to show parents what trips their child will be going on.
The Food
- Hero Camp offers each child breakfast, lunch, and snacks every day at no additional cost.
- Weekly calendars will also tell parents what is on the menu everyday.
- Parents are welcome to pack their own meals and snacks for their children.

- Camp Scientific video game production teacher (ages 9 to 12), Summer 2013
- Hero Camp co-teacher last summer as well, Summer 2014.
The Rates
- $120/week
- $25 per child registration fee to purchase workbooks and T-shirts.
