Would give zero starts if possible!
I enrolled Zakariah into Halsey, imagining a "fresh start' for him.. and all the wonderful things he would learn to do as a four year old!
We live less than a mile from the Halsey school so the location was great!! 5 mins from my son's school seemed like a dream come true.

I am writing this as a mother who was left feeling fed up, distraught, and shocked that people would treat a person this way! I recently moved to Woodland Hills to start a new life for my son and myself.
Of course, from the start I was a little concerned.
I did the standard walk through, early one morning and from the beginning, I was given a weird impression from Jennifer, whose cold demeanor makes you question why she would work with young children to begin with. Or in a school setting at all? Because of the location and the second director Jenni, giving this me this fake happy, welcoming demeanor; I was trying to keep and open mind and heart.
I joined the CDRC program to assist in the child care costs, because Halsey School is $1,399 dollars for my four year old son to go full time. Even with the assistance I was still bullied each month for small balances.... 60$ 70$ etc...
I work M-F 9-6. Meaning Zak would be enrolled 830-630.
Zak goes for 10 hours a day. Out of those 10 hours, Halsey recognizes academics from 9a-10a. One hour a day, to learn to read, write, and learn crucial things. If we were late, and we were frequently late, Zak would receive no real direction as far as letters and number and such.

The worst part: When I come to pick him up in the evenings, the play room is a complete FREE FOR ALL. I wanted him to go to SCHOOL, not a daycare. He will be 5 at the end of the year and it's a crucial time. My son was bullied, isolated, treated differently than other children, and was constantly sick. If it wasn't pinkeye every other week it was something else. Why is my four year old able to kiss girls at 'school.' How is no one watching? Then he was forced to stay home constantly putting my job on the line.

This school is a huge disappointment. I switched jobs recently and have been bullied for money when Jenny and Jennifer both personally took the time to get involved in my personal life only to hold it against me later down the road.
I do not recommend Halsey to anyone! They are more focused on making money then caring for children.
