Hello! My name is Courtney Dorner. I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Kent State University, and an Associate of Arts degree from Cuyahoga Community College. I have been a babysitter and preschool teacher for over 10 years. I am opening anin-home daycare in my home in North Royalton in the next few months. I have 600 square feet dedicated only to childcare. I only enroll 6 children at a time to ensure each child gets the attention they need. I have themed lesson plans to teach the basics (math, science, art, world studies, language and music) and I incorporate my knowledge in public health. I think it is important to teach children about physical activity, healthy eating and caring for the environment while preparing for kindergarten.
