Monica Bera (RN, CDP, PCHA):
With over 20 years experience in the health care industry, Monica's passion and bulk of experience has been elder care. Monica is a Registered Nurse with specialization in Gerontology Care Advocate for retired executives, a Care Navigator and a Care Coordinator as well. Over the 20 years plus period, she has served the elderly in various capacities as a Personal Care Home Administrator, Director of Nursing, Registered Nurse, Care Manager, Geriatric Practitioner, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Patient Advocate and Liaison between families and community resources.
One of her outstanding accomplishments was that while she was the Administrator of an Assisted Living community facility in Bucks County - PA, Monica due to her expertise as a Certified Dementia Practitioner saw the need to have a Dementia Unit in the community and so she initiated, pursued and completed the process to have the first ever Memory Care Unit opened in Bensalem, Pennsylvania in 2016. She is also a caregiver knowledge expert who has served many clients as a Care Navigator for her home care clients including helping her own dad through his Congestive Heart Failure.
Monica knows what successful aging is and understands the healthcare system, knows the local resources for seniors, the different types and levels of home care/home health services. For distant families, she can serve as a care manager and oversee the entire scope of care for her home care clients and keeps the families informed. She works with families who do not want the stress of caregiving or simply are not available due to other life's demands and obligations but they want to see their loved ones thrive outside nursing facilities.
Monica helps bring assisted living to you so you don't have to go to it. She likes to remind and encourage her clients or prospective clients to involve others in their caregiving and that asking for help for themselves or their loved ones is not a sign of weakness but rather one of strength. She takes pride in providing compassionate, gracious and quality services which has generated many testimonials from her clients as a result of the outstanding home care services she and her team provides.
