I have been a licensed day care provider for 11 years. I have a degree in child psychology and have worked at the Minneapolis Crisis Nursery and a shelter for developmentally delayed kids. 2 of our friends have left to stay at home with Mom and a newbaby sister and 2 have left for all day kindergarten and only come occasionally on days off of school. I accept full time and part time care. Because all of my kids have been part time and because of the age range I do not do a formal curriculum but believe children learn through play. I do circle time, themes, songs, arts and crafts and I love spending time outside exploring. I prefer smaller groups so that each child in care get the time and attention they need and deserve.
