I am the lead afternoon teacher at Elements Preschool. I have decided to open an in-home morning daycare in my lovely home in Brentwood. While it will technically be a daycare, being a teacher my goal is to run it like more of a preschool. Throughout mytime as a teacher I have taught in every style. The greatest experience by far was my time at a STEM Preschool as the lead teacher. I have incorporated STEM into my own curriculum. Through play-based science experiments, math, and plenty of outdoor time, you can count on your little one to thoroughly enjoy the open and loving environment I provide. We will also have daily time for free art and gardening. On days where there are three or less children there is a possibility of field trips to the Thinkery, Aquarium, or walks to Brentwood Park. My biggest goal in beginning this journey is providing children with both a quality education and the individual attention they need to thrive. Something I've noticed as a teacher (and parent) is while Preschool is a wonderful place for learning and socialization, the high student to teacher ratios leaves many children lacking the individual care they need to thrive. I will have no more than four kids at any given time, so you can be sure your little one will get the individual attention they deserve, while making friends and developing social skills in a more personal setting. I am accepting kids ages 2-5. The rates are as follows: M/W/F: 8am-12:30pm 150/week. T/TH: 8am-12:30pm 100/week M/T/W/TH/F: 8am-12:30pm 200/week. Organic, vegetarian, nut-free lunches available for 4 dollars a day. That includes last minute notice for those hectic mornings and forgotten lunchboxes! Federal Background Check completed. Licensed to work in a daycare/preschool. Food Handlers License. CPR/Infant Care certified. 7 Years as a childcare professional. Excellent references from employers and parents.
