Austin ABA Connect is looking for a behavior therapist/tutor for contract work with clients on the autism spectrum ages 1-12 years. This contract position includes working on communication, social, behavior, self-help, and/or academic skills one-to-one ina child's home, school, or community setting. Individuals with previous training or coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Requirements for this position include: 1) desire to work with children and youth with autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities/behavioral challenges; 2) strong organizational skills; 3) punctuality and professionalism; 4) willingness to learn as well as being a self-initiator; 5) personable; 6) have reliable transportation and a clean driving record; and 7) availability/flexible schedule. A criminal background check is also required for this position. Ideally we seek undergraduate or graduate students studying ABA, psychology, social work, education/special education, or early childhood. Position will be supervised by a doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D), with possibility of BCBA supervision hours negotiable.
