Ask-Carol helps families select the appropriate care for their parents, whether at home or in an assisted living facility.
Most of our clients (we charge no fees) choose an assisted living facility because it provides a permanent solution to the needs of most families.
When assisted living is appropriate, we help families select the right facility and assist them in finding financial support, which is often available from the VA or Medicaid (note: Medicare does not pay for assisted living ornon-medical home care).<br/> No one we have placed in assisted living since our inception in 2009 has moved out of the facility we suggested unless severe medical or mental issues required a move to a nursing home. We make good matches!<br/> Many have commented that we are to assisted living is to dating. The difference is we don't charge our clients for our services. We are paid by a group of personally selected assisted living communities.<br/> How do we do it? First, we conduct an interview with the family. That may take an hour or so. They we begin hand-matching (no computers) the senior to the two or three facilities that best meet the needs.
