Here at Abney's Little Scholars Preschool our goal is to nurture little minds, we strive for all of our children to Excel and reach for the stars. ALS provides comprehensive toddler, and child development services. We are a toddler, and child focused program that embraces the entire family. Community Action works with the local community to provide services that address child-care and family support issues, which enables the staff to help families become self-sufficient. By reaching for the STARS the ALS preschool promotes quality in our child care and Head Start program. Our Program includes children and families from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Diversity is celebrated both inside and outside of the classroom.






Every day at Abney's Little Scholars Preschool our toddlers and staff enjoy activities and games that follow a research-based curriculum that aligns with DE State licensing standards and is designed to teach everything from letters and numbers to sharing and getting along with others. All students also receive developmental screenings administered by qualified educated staff.
