Hi! I'm a creative tutor, art teacher, and nanny with a passion for experiential and project-based learning. For more than a decade I've loved working with a wide range of students, meeting them "where they are" (wherever that may be!) and encouraging a growth mindset and life-long joy for learning and exploration. I love building relationships and trust with my students and tapping into their unique strengths and interests. Since moving to St. Louis eight years ago, I've tutored elementary and middle school students with varying levels of special needs in core subjects and basic Spanish. I've especially enjoyed tutoring adult English Language Learners (ELL) and assisting with ELL graduate level research and test prep. I currently work in Community Programs at Craft Alliance, teaching and evaluating programs onsite and in schools. With in-person school visits on hold, I'm looking forward to jumping back into tutoring. I can't wait to partner up and help your students thrive!

Elsie has been our family's part-time nanny for 9 years now, and she is absolutely amazing in every way. She is patient, kind, smart, loving, responsible, creative, fun, and thoughtful. She has helped my 4 boys (now ages 11-17) with school projects and assignments in every subject. She has a way of tapping into each individual child's talents and interests to help them find a way to get excited about and successful in their projects. She is very smart, can get along with any child, and does not lose her cool!

My passion is teaching! I've been in education for eight and a half years, and I'm a certified special education teacher with 8 years of experience in K-12 classrooms. I'm certified to teach K-12 students and I also have certification to teach middle school social studies. I've had prior experience teaching reading, writing, math, and science in grades K-8, and I've been a summer school teacher for high schoolers in the area of literature. I do everything I can to make learning creative and fun by personalizing material to the strengths of students. I LOVE teaching and I hope to help your learner out in anyway that I can! As the schools have pretty much stopped hiring with these closures, I'm looking to take my teaching expertise directly into your home. You'll be getting a passionate and energetic teacher who loves nothing more than helping students learn. I'm all about staying active, so that includes PE time, and even learning a thing or two about music and foreign languages!
