About Elsie

Hi! I'm a creative tutor and art teacher with a passion for experiential and project-based learning. For more than a decade I've loved working with a wide range of students, meeting them "where they are" (wherever that may be!) and encouraging a growth mindset and life-long joy for learning and exploration. I love building relationships and trust with my students and tapping into their unique strengths and interests. Since moving to St. Louis 14 years ago, I've tutored elementary and middle school students with varying levels of need in core subjects and basic Spanish. I've also enjoyed tutoring adult English Language Learners (ELL) and assisting with ELL graduate level research and test prep. After working in Community Programs at Craft Alliance, where I taught and evaluated programs onsite and in schools, I took on the role of full-time Learning & Engagement Specialist at Laumeier Sculpture Park. I can't wait to partner up and help your students thrive in my downtime!
