Hi. We're looking for a special needs assistant to help my 17-year-old with high functioning autism. Duties include picking him up from school or activities, dropping him off at the gym, taking him to therapy, practicing problem solving exercises and tic replacement behaviors with him, working on several independent life skills and the occasional homework assistance. He drives but this person must have their own transportation and good driving record.

Definitely previous childcare experience is needed. Also looking for experience with children with special needs. Our family values are very simple. Respect, compassion and kindness. My son loves arts and crafts and books ! My son has autism so he needs help with communication. Definitely previous experience with special needs children. Yes, we have parking and a few bus stops about a block or two away. No pets.

My son is starting 2nd grade. He is diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. He is high functioning and communicates clearly. He's on medication for the ADHD. He will be with his therapist on most days but on the days that she is not able to make it the sitter will have to step in. I will be home but cannot be bothered due to internship responsibilities. Our ideal caregiver: Someone who will be patient enough with a high functioning Autistic medicated ADHD child. Additional needs include light housekeeping, having a reliable car and a non-smoker. Looking for LPN/RN certified nurse for home health care of an active and independent 25-year-old woman with Spinal Muscular Atrophy in Hialeah. Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator helpful but not required. Must be able to lift patient from bed to wheelchair and to shower chair. Must help with all daily activities like hygiene, dressing, ventilator care, assistance around house, light meal preparation and cleaning. Driver's license required. English and/or Spanish speakers accepted.
