Senior Caregiver

I've always loved working with seniors; I like that they know that when they see me, I'm going to do everything I can to take very good care of them. I feel it's important that they still feel a sense of independence & usefulness, but also know I am there to assist them. After Medical Assistant school, I worked as a nurse in a medical center where I did blood pressure, medication injections, diabetes education, assisted with outpatient surgery, etc. I have also worked with clients with Alzheimer's, pneumonia & other ailments & am comfortable with all of them. For 18 months, I worked full time with a lovely woman in her 80's, with many physical ailments & then a diagnosis of Alzheimer's. This position included medication management & administration, meal prep, Dr. appts., companionship & then to Hospice w/end of life care, which was Feb 2017.
