It Would Be An Honor To Care For Your Loved One
I have cared for older people for the last few years. I discovered what a joy it was while I was out on my externship for college at a secured living unit for Alzheimer's s/dementia patients. After my externship was over, I found that a position on the floor was open. I asked if they would hire me. I had the opportunity to work in the office, but I choose to work with the residents because it was a more rewarding job. I could o home at the end of the day, knowing that I made a difference in someone's life. The families of the residents could not visit them on a regular basis, so the caregivers were the ones they looked toward for comfort and care. I felt that it was an honor for someone to allow me to care for their loved ones.
I do light housekeeping, med reminders, meal preparation, shopping, Dr. appointments, and various other tasks that may need to be done.
