We use a purchased social-emotional curriculum called Second Step, as structure for our intentional instruction to support social and emotional competencies. At Wildflower Preschool, our mission is to provide quality learning and care of the highest standard. Our enriched environment promotes independent thinking and a positive self-image in all of our students. We believe that children develop at their own pace and teachers are intended to scaffold, or assist, them in reaching their highest potential. Our staff members consistently model respectful behaviors and healthy habits. We follow the Pyramid Plus Model and use the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment Program to help teach our children positive social behaviors while we focus on the strengths of each child. Both programs encourage positive relationships between teachers and families while working to support the child. Wildflower Preschool is dedicated to the promotion of healthy lifestyles by staying active and eating nutritious meals. Children attending the school will participate in weekly yoga lessons and hikes in the Boulder County Open Space.
