During class time children participate in a fun array of activities including circle time, finger play, read-alouds, arts-and- crafts, phoneme and number awareness and more! Among the many subjects emphasized, children develop skills such as critical thinking, team work, independence and social interaction. The school's course of study utilizes a nationally acclaimed curriculum whose methods have been proven to prepare toddlers for kindergarten. The school's living classroom is host to a number of butterflies and local wildlife. Children delight in their observations and the staff takes every opportunity to expand on the children's' natural curiosity by incorporating science- based philosophies in real time applications. As an added bonus to the preschool classes for the little ones, staff, parents and children additionally get together weekly for Mommy & Me planned activities. The school's weekly social time is a time for the school community to relax, swap stories, share concerns, encourage each other, make friends and of course, have fun! With the exception of Kindermusic lessons, most play-date activities are appropriate for infants and toddlers, so please feel free to bring along siblings to let them join in the fun! During music lessons the program plans to have an extra pair of hands on site to lend support.
