Montessori
In-Home daycare
My Registered Family Home in North Arlington has been an important part of the childhood of many bright and amazing kids for 30 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas A&M, with much of my coursework in early childhood development. Each child has unique talents and abilities, and I do my best to facilitate their growing into their full potential. My general philosophy is much like that of Montessori schools, in that children naturally seek out ways to learn and grow, given an environment in which they feel safe and loved. I also supplement the learning experience with an online subscription to a learning academy. The kids have a lot of fun, while preparing for kindergarten. We have arts and crafts, sing, dance, play with costumes, and learn to be kind and caring. We also have a private Facebook group for the parents, where I'm able to post fun photos and videos of things that happen throughout the day. I accept full-time only, and charge $175/week. This rate applies to all age groups. My hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. I provide all formula and food! I would love to show you around and answer any questions you may have. Text me at 817-274-4769.

I have had my in-home licensed daycare for 16 years now. I work by myself and never hire outside help at any time. I was previously a kindergarten teacher and assistant director at a private school. I enjoy providing a safe, loving, and an educationally fun environment for children to have fun, learn, and thrive in. I provide hands on opportunities for the children to experiment, learn, explore, and just have fun on their journey into learning and understanding how things work. Depending on their age if they are nearing kindergarten age I will start preparing them for everything they need to know upon entering kindergarten. I have been highly successful in my kindergarten preparedness routine as almost all of the children that have been in my program and have gone into kindergarten have been way more advanced than their classmates. For example, I currently have a 5 year old that will be entering kindergarten in a couple weeks and I have been working with her all year and she is reading at 2nd grade level, can count well past 100, can do addition and subtraction, understands sequencing, can use scissors well, understands directions, understands how to make patterns from shapes, numbers, colors, can visually identify all letters both upper and lowercase, numbers, shapes. My point being she is well prepared to start her journey into elementary school and will cruise easily into any work put her way! I do this with all my 4/5 year olds. Most have gone and thrived in school and after a few years go into the gifted program at their schools. At my daycare I serve breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. I will work with vegan and vegetarian diets as I have two in my program like that now. I will work with any problems or hurdles your child has. I have one with a bit of a speech problem and I have been using speech techniques to try and help him get through this. We have circle time, read books, play games, do academics (depending on age), we have art activities, musical activities, outdoor play (depending on weather status). I do not drive anywhere with the children ever. I am closed on major holidays. I have excellent references you may call of current clients or from past clients. I currently have two full time spots open for children 6 weeks to kindergarten ages. I enjoy teaching children and providing a loving and safe environment for them all.

Robyn S. says "Karen is wonderful! She kept both of my kids and they absolutely loved her! Both kids were ahead of the game when they started Kindergarten! Karen was a...

FAQs for finding preschools near you in Arlington, TX

There are two main types of preschool programs near you in Arlington, TX. The first is a full-time program that usually works best for parents working full-time shifts, and the second is a part-time preschool where your child would attend only two to three days per week and typically choose between a morning and afternoon shift. You can also check your options in Arlington, TX for traditional preschool centers, or private home-based preschools.

When you begin looking for preschools near me in Arlington, TX, consider your priorities and ask administrators about their philosophies and approach to common child care issues or occurances. You may also want to ask about the ratio of learning time to supervised play time so you can get a good sense of whether you believe your child's needs will be met. From there, ask about what a typical day consists of, what the safety protocols are and how discipline will be handled. Also, make sure to check directly with the preschool for information about their local licensing and credentials in Arlington, TX.

When looking for a preschool near you in Arlington, TX on Care.com, you'll be able to review preschools by distance from you ZIP code.
