I Am Looking For Part Time Flexible Days/ Hours

Avg response < 2 hrs
I took care of my elderly Dad for about 15 years, for 8 years when he was living in his own home alone and then for about 7 years when he was in an assisted living facility, My Dad had dementia and short term memory loss, so I have experience with both. I would fill his medicine box, take him to doctor's appointments, shop for and cook food, do his laundry, light housework etc. He passed away in July 2014. I really miss him. I was a stay at home mother for my 2 children (who are now grown) and am looking for a part time job with flexible hours and days. I would love to be a companion/assistant for an elderly person whether they live alone or live at a nursing home or assisted living. I am not able to bathe/shower or toilet. I love to cook! I'm also a part time dog walker/pet sitter so I can also help with dogs/cats. I'm extremely trustworthy, dependable, flexible, patient & caring. I enjoy talking with elderly people about their life & spending time with them.

Cathy has worked for 2 years taking care of my 91 years old mother who has dementia. My mom lives alone, with her small dog Petunia. Cathy cooks meals, does groceries, takes mom to doctors appointments, does light housework and laundry, as well as anything else that might be needed. She allows my mom to still have "independence". Cathy is such a smart, wonderful, caring, compassionate woman with a great sense of humor. My mother loves her and I love how I can relax knowing Cathy is with my mom. She is honest, and very dependable and is so easy to talk to.

I love to learn. I pursued my education with the hope of one day sharing that same love of learning with children! As a creative person, I love to bring fun, educational activities, projects, and crafts to help children learn new skills, from practical life skills to portrait painting! I began tutoring and mentoring students during middle school. I've also worked privately with families for tutoring and enriched childcare. My teaching experience ranges from teaching Undergraduate Painting Majors at the University is the Arts in Philadelphia, to teaching at a Montessori school in Boston's Back Bay. What I enjoy most is working with families to offer individualized childcare for little ones. What sets me apart from a conventional "nanny," is that I can provide fun activities and games to help kids learn an array of new skills, all in the comfort of your own home. I also have experience working with children with allergies & Epi Pens. I'm also First Aid/CPR/AED certified!

Moraiah has taken care of our two children, ages 6 and 8, after school, for two years now. She is kind, caring, creative, patient, meticulously organized, flexible, and a totally dedicated team player. She is an artist by training and she develops wonderful puzzles, activities, word games, and craft projects. Moraiah manages to tailor her time with the kids-- and the activities she does with them -- to support their academic and social-emotional growth. She is also able to just relax and read books or play cards or tag or catch, when that's what the afternoon demands. Increasingly, the afternoons and evenings include outside commitments -- music lessons and sports practices and the like. Moraiah has been wonderful about staying three steps ahead of the rest of us, always anticipating the shifts in the plans and adjusting her own plans with the kids accordingly so that they'll arrive where they need to, on time, dressed appropriately, and with snack!
