I have several years of Caregiver experience (professionally and personally combined). I am very dependable and reliable. I have worked in a senior care setting for over 2 years. Duties include: assisting clients with ADL's (Activities of Daily Living), which include bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, preparing meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, etc. all while they remain in the comfort of their own home. I also have leadership skills where I am responsible for leading out a team of other caregivers with issues and concerns regarding their clients and their care. I enjoy and have a passion for taking care of seniors and making sure that their lives remain the same, as much as possible. I am a non-smoker. I also have reliable transportation.

An absolute treasure!!! Tenisha has cared for my mom for about a year; she's the first person I call when we go out of town. Mom has Parkinson's: Tenisha's patience, attentiveness, and cheerfulness keep my mom calm and lucid (her day-to-night sundown syndrome is almost nonexistent when she's with Tenisha!). Tenisha is a godsend for mom's medical appointments: she notices even subtle changes in mom's physical and mental being. Her ability to describe those changes in detail was invaluable in the doctor's tweaking of mom's medication dosages. Tenisha's attentiveness proved especially valuable during my mom's recent hospital stay - we brought mom home much sooner than expected-- I know Tenisha's being there and keeping a watchful eye was key. Proactive and meticulous in everything she does Tenisha has kept my mother's bed- and bath- rooms immaculate and fresh - Tenisha is exactly the caregiver one wants for their loved one!

Newborn Specialist

Responds quickly
About Me: I live in Mandarin, have been married for 30 years and home-schooled for 20 years. After our children graduated I decided to become a Nanny. I love caring for infants, and teaching children using fun play and creativity. My real strength's are helping to schedule newborns, teaching and training little ones using a variety of reading, talking, sights, and sounds and using classical music. Our children began music lessons at a very early age, and now as young adults they are so glad they did. I can also teach beginning Suzuki violin. I have kept all of my home-schooling learning toys and educational materials to engage little minds and keep them entertained. Even if your child is an infant they are never too young to be learning about the world around them. A great benefit of reading to them at an early age is the difference it makes when they begin to talk and then go on to read. Several years ago I worked in the NICU at four local hospitals. As an area director, my duties were to hire, train, and to have top security clearance into the NICU to photograph premature newborns. I personally dressed and photographed over 1,500 babies. I thoroughly enjoyed my work. Presently, I am on the board of our churches Home-school Association. I have grown up in Jacksonville and live with my husband, our two grown children, three chihuahua's and a schnauzer. Please feel free read my profile to see if I might be a good fit for your family. I am also available for preliminary phone interviews to see if we are a good match. Thank you, and I look forward to speaking with you. What is a Newborn Specialist?
