My wife and I are looking for help with our first child and very light housework when she goes back to work.
We're looking for someone that will keep our child (born December '22) safe and happy. He's healthy, does not require special care, and is very easy going. As with any infant he requires regular feedings and diaper changes. He is starting to show interest in toys/books but mostly just sleeps a lot at this point.
We have cleaners come every other week so would not need any deep cleaning, but would like help with laundry, dishes, and generally keeping our child's things picked up and tidy.
I work from home and will be available in case of emergencies. My wife may occasionally be home to help as well.
We both have demanding jobs (business exec and physician) and prefer flexibility if possible. We also have some flexibility with scheduling so let us know your preferences and we'll see what we can work out. We prefer M-F, 8-5.
We expect this to be a long term role ( > 1 year). We are not looking for a live-in but may consider for the right candidate.
We have 1 cat, a 9 yr old tabby. He's also easy going and we will not need help caring for him, but feel free to play/pet him if you want and he seems interested.
Our ideal candidate is above all kind and compassionate, and will be somebody we can trust with our child.
Our child's room is on the second floor so ability to safely navigate stairs with infant is required.
CDC recommend vaccines when close to children are required (Tdap, annual flu).
Reliable transportation required (even if public), though will not be expected to provide transportation for our child.
Must be ok with our cat.
Prior childcare experience and/or credentials preferred.
First aid / CPR preferred.
Bilingual is a plus.
College is a plus (including current part time students).
If you like to cook and want to occasionally make meals for the family, that would also be a plus but certainly not required.
Hourly rate dependent on candidates qualifications-- we would rather pay more and have a highly qualified and motivated partner.
