Looking for someone to supplement child care a few days a month to allow for this parent to run some errands, study or to have a few kid free moments. Having your own transportation is a plus. There are two trips I plan to take in April, mid-month and end of the month. I have two very well-behaved cats. They don't need much care. I just want to be sure everything is okay at home. A quick daily check is fine. The litter box and cat feeder are automatic. The litter box will need to have the trash bag switched out but there is no scooping. The water fountain holds enough water for about 3 days. They play together and hide from strangers, so little time is required.

About who needs care: My mother suffers from severe depression and is basically a shut in. She lacks routine to 1) comply with taking her medicine, 2) clean her apartment, 3) order groceries, and 4) bathe. She has been this way for approximately 7 years. She is able to hold light conversation and likes playing cards, Scrabble and other games. She spends a lot of time in bed/asleep unfortunately, but does read and watch TV as well. About the care needs: - cannot be a push over! - someone with a good sense of humor - a special skill to have would be familiar with someone who can be manipulative (eg, calls to cancel but in reality just don't want to see people due to their illness) - obviously kind and compassionate is always helpful! Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.

Our little guy is a foster child for now. He has behavioral issues ( very active, picky eater and has temper tantrums) so has is considered Special Needs. We would like someone who is okay with special needs. Thats also kind, patient and is willing to play inside or outside with our guy. The state is willing to pay for the right person.
