We spend a great deal of our time playing and having fun. Each day has routine and structure to be sure the children feel comfortable. We care for children ages 1 week-9 years old, both full/part-time. Special arrangements may be made for earlier drop-offs and later pick-ups. We are fully insured and CPR/First Aid certified. We also have experience with special needs, allergies and toilet training. We work from a curriculum to teach the children the basics like the alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors. Our belief is that early childhood education and care are fundamental building blocks for the future. If you're looking for a place where your child can feel at home please call Lisa at 857-204-8250.

The vision for this daycare was born out of the difficult experience of my own childhood. Being asked to sit still in a classroom for several hours a day was the opposite of my instinct to play in nature. I could hardly wait for recess to go explore rocks and trees and find peace and a feeling of being at home in the natural rhythms of the New England seasons. I didn't want my daughter to have the same experience. So I sought to create an environment that was inspired by Montessori principles and Nature School principles. The goal is for children to be self-guided in their discovery of themselves as a part of the natural world. The curriculum and design of the space creates little separation between nature and the learning experience of the children. This allows them to freely engage in the mystery of nature and cultivates the wonder that all children naturally possess. This means there is absolutely no technology or screens and much of the day is spent exploring the outdoors. The area is filled with mature oak trees, large rocks, hills, moss, and different types of plants. There is also an abundance of wildlife, from many species of birds to squirrels and chipmunks and even a family of groundhogs that lives on the premises (my daughter squeals with delight when she sees them). The indoor area is adorned with trees, woodland animals and is inspired by Native American culture which is part of my ancestry. In fact, the Massachusett tribe lived in this area at Pine Banks Park. Part of the curriculum is for children to go there and experience the sacred connection to nature that has been lost in modern society. In summary, Oak Haven Daycare is designed to enable children to learn by freely exploring the wonders and mysteries of the natural world. What is NeighborSchools? I believe that kids learn best through play, so Rock Stars Family Child Care is based on a creative curriculum that involves a lot more play than instructor-led activities. A schedule guides us, and days include free play, circle time, arts and crafts, snacks and lunch, outdoor play, dramatic play, sensory play, so much play and creativity! I also like to include music and movement. Music is infused throughout the day. For example, we have goodbye songs that help us end the day in a community setting at closing circle. At L.E.A.P. Childcare we believe that you are never too young to discover what you are great at and how you learn best! Each child is special and unique, and we strive to instill a positive self-image in everyone. We encourage an environment that focuses on learning through play and exploration. Through this, we also support and foster the social, emotional and physical development of children. L.E.A.P. Childcare s curriculum in each classroom focuses on a balanced mix of structured teacher-directed activities and independent learning. We believe it is important for children to be given time each day to learn by exploration; whether that means inside with one of our many learning manipulatives or outside discovering the world around them. The possibilities are endless! Children are also given time each day for unstructured free play. During this time, children will not only be given more opportunities to explore their environment and the materials in it, but this time will also promote the development of social skills, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Unstructured free play is the perfect time for children to discover their interests and express themselves. Preschool: Our preschool classroom will dedicate time each day to the letter of the week . During this time children will focus on letter identification (uppercase and lowercase), letter sounds and beginning words. Preschool students must be age 2.9 in order to enroll. Pre-K: Our pre-k classroom will dedicate time each day to focus on a special monthly unit. We will read books, learn new information and work on activities/projects relating to our unit. Pre-K students must be age 4 in order to enroll. Our monthly tuition rates are as followed: 2 Days: $580/Month 3 Days: $831/Month 5 Days: $1,235/Month

My main goal at Kid's Place is to inspire kids to do better in life. Everything they do and learn with me will help them achieve their goals in school, be able to work with other kids, and get interested and involved in the world around them. We spend lots of time singing and dancing, doing puzzles, and reading, and I use a curriculum to help them learn the basics like numbers, letters, shapes, and colors. We also take time to practice important information like their parents' names and phone numbers. When the weather allows we love to spend time outside, playing in my fenced-in yard or taking walks in the neighborhood. In everything we do I provide lots of affection and support, and hope to build a foundation of respect, love, and education in each child. What is NeighborSchools?
