We accept traditional children as well! Inclusion activities are provided. Our vision is simple - Every Child Deserves a Little Grace. Children with special needs need what every other children needs - friends, acceptance and social opportunities. Our center is focused on giving families peace of mind that their child is well cared for when they can't be with them. Children with special needs require down time too - after a long day at school working extra hard to learn tasks and concepts, they need rest time for their minds. I am a licensed daycare provider. I have had a daycare in my house for over 17 years. I am flexible on hours and willing to provide 24 hours care if needed. Currently with the children I have I am open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. My 28-year-old daughter helps me if I have more than six children or fills in if I need to go to the doctor, haircuts, etc. I am part of the food program, so meals are provided. I accept cash, check or state funding. We have remade our garage into a daycare room. I live on a small road so we play outside in the front and back yards, we do crafts and take field trips. I have a small dog and a cat. I also raised three children of my own. I live in Saginaw Township, the Plainfield Elementary area specifically. I take newborns and have had children up to 13 before. I am closed on Sundays. If a child needs breathing treatments, I have a machine available. I am CPR and first aid trained.

My Background & Experience: Hello! My name is Sandy. I have been in the childcare business for over 20 years! I started my career in youth development at Steps Montessori Preschool, located in Saginaw, as a preschool teacher. While there, I grew my skills as an excellent provider and caregiver. I love to watch the children grow and learn with the knowledge and care that I gave each and every one of my students. It was here that I realized this was my calling. I spent six years of my career at Steps. It was my responsibility to organize daily activities for children, assisted in the growth of pertinent skills such as math, science, and gross motor skills, I stressed the importance of co-compliance, and instilled a seed of confidence and assurance in my students. In 2000, with the full support of my director, I began my own childcare center in my home. I owned and operated this business for 14 years with the assistance of my husband and two amazing kids! I taught between 6-12 children from 2000-2014. I was licensed by the state of Michigan as a childcare provider throughout this entire period of this time. I gave 120% to ensure the proper development and education of all of these children. I had the incredible opportunity to see over 50+ children learn and grow through my program. Each and every one of my parents, along with my director, would provide an exceptional reference of my skills. I have the humbling honor to still associate and become great friends with many of my previous clients. I have an incredible amount of experience built over the years (as my resume can reflect), I have the full support of a loving family in which we have created a solid foundation in our home, and the heart to continue to do what I love. About Me: I am a mother myself, of two beautiful young adults. I instilled the same love and care in them as I continue to do with every new face that I have the privilege to teach. They are age 22 and 24, both successfully completing degrees in their senior years at Western Michigan University. I am a Christian woman and currently an active member of the Peace Lutheran Church congregation.
