My Background & Experience:
Hello! My name is Sandy. I have been in the childcare business for over 20 years! I started my career in youth development at Steps Montessori Preschool, located in Saginaw, as a preschool teacher. While there, I grew myskills as an excellent provider and caregiver. I love to watch the children grow and learn with the knowledge and care that I gave each and every one of my students. It was here that I realized this was my calling. I spent six years of my career at Steps. It was my responsibility to organize daily activities for children, assisted in the growth of pertinent skills such as math, science, and gross motor skills, I stressed the importance of co-compliance, and instilled a seed of confidence and assurance in my students. In 2000, with the full support of my director, I began my own childcare center in my home. I owned and operated this business for 14 years with the assistance of my husband and two amazing kids! I taught between 6-12 children from 2000-2014. I was licensed by the state of Michigan as a childcare provider throughout this entire period of this time. I gave 120% to ensure the proper development and education of all of these children. I had the incredible opportunity to see over 50+ children learn and grow through my program. Each and every one of my parents, along with my director, would provide an exceptional reference of my skills. I have the humbling honor to still associate and become great friends with many of my previous clients. I have an incredible amount of experience built over the years (as my resume can reflect), I have the full support of a loving family in which we have created a solid foundation in our home, and the heart to continue to do what I love. About Me: I am a mother myself, of two beautiful young adults. I instilled the same love and care in them as I continue to do with every new face that I have the privilege to teach. They are age 22 and 24, both successfully completing degrees in their senior years at Western Michigan University.
