I've been doing in home childcare for a little over 16 years now and I am licensed through the state. Prior to my daycare career I was a teacher until I became a Mom! I was also the head of an after-school program for a local elementary school. I've worked in daycare, summer camps, summer school, basically any job that involves children. I have my degree with a certification in early childhood education. I started babysitting out of my home 16 years ago and love it. I've teamed up with my sister who is also a stay at home mom and comes to my house to help me out or to fill in for me. Teaming up with my sister has really worked out nice because she's my back up so you wouldn't ever have to worry about your sitter calling off with the two of us! We would treat your child as if he/she were our own. As a mother I know how hard it is to find childcare I've been there, especially trusting someone off the internet. Rest assure being a teacher in a public school I've been fingerprinted, background checked, and have a great reputation from my long term families I sit for! I charge $50/day for full time and $60/day for part time (2 or 3 days). I live in Hickory Hills very close to 294 & 55. Please email me if you'd like more information, I'd love to meet you and your little one:) Thanks

Discovery Rainbow Home Daycare and Preschool has been serving families of the western suburbs since 2002. With almost 1000 ft.² of indoor space dedicated to the children, as well as 4000 ft.² of private outdoor play space, we’ve worked hard throughout the years to maintain a clean and well kept environment. Most of all every family who comes to us becomes part of our Discovery Rainbow Family. Here at Discovery Rainbow, we offer play based and structured learning providing your child with a wide range of age-appropriate experiences during their time with us. We provide breakfast, lunch and two snacks daily as well as special holiday and birthday snacks when we celebrate your child’s special day. All children get their own cot, pillow and blanket and are expected to rest once a day during our “quiet time” which is also Miss Jennie and Mr. Jim’s lunch break. We allow your child time throughout the day to play freely by themselves or with other friends. We also put older children into smaller groups for structured play experiences. We provide a year-round preschool curriculum focusing on letters, numbers, shapes, listening skills, communication skills, following directions and focus. We read stories that go along with our letter of the week or our preschool theme that week. As part of the holidays or special theme weeks, stories may be about Santa, Easter Bunny, friends, equality, acceptance, or behavior. We provide art experiences that help children follow directions, learn steps, practice their small motor skills, learn to cut, paste and be creative. Occasionally the older children get the opportunity for Cooking with Miss Jennie where they have fun helping make a snack, they will eat that day. It helps them learn to follow step by step directions, how to measure ingredients, math skills, and taking turns. We provide structured group times where we play games, have dance parties, and participate in large motor play with our indoor balance beams, etc. We have a fully gated yard and playground and try to get the kids out at least once a day, weather permitting. Above all else we try to teach the children to be respectful and show kindness, love, and acceptance to one another regardless of differences. To always try to be a good friend, take turns and share. Thank You for considering Discovery Rainbow Home Daycare & Preschool for your families childcare needs.

We are currently in the process of getting Licienced Hello! My name is Suzanne. My sister and I run a day care in her Willowbrook home. We provide a loving home environment while you are away. We encourage friendship and cooperation among the families in our care. Most of the children that we care for begin as infants and remain in our care until school age. We form strong bonds with your children and treat them as if we are another set of parents. Some of our activities include coloring, crafts, and music class. We like to get outside whenever possible, whether it's on the swing set, on the trampoline, at the park, or just running around the yard or going for a walk. Plus in the summer we go to the splash pad a few times a week! We are patient and compassionate people and we pass these attributes on to the children that we care for. So if you are looking for a loving environment where your children can spend time when you cannot be with them, then contact Sisters Day Care with questions or to set up an interview. We look forward to hearing from you! Just want to let you know there are cats that live here

I would like to take care for two children full time in my home. I am a mother of three. I am CPR and First Aid trained. References and letters of recommendations available. I have 29 years experience working with children in music and public elementary schools, YMCA, park district, daycare. I instructed child fitness classes, art/crafts classes, toddler programs, birthday parties. Currently I teach piano/voice at a local music school and privately late afternoons and evenings part time. We got a large yard with a Little Tykes playhouse, little slide and picnic table/benches for toddlers, playground park is 5 min walking distance. Inside I have a mini-trampoline, large exercising mats and age appropriate toys. I serve healthy meals, many homemade with organic milk, rBTS/rBGH free diary, most veggies/fruits organic, no toxic preservatives or dyes,no artificial colors in cereal, uncured hams, hotdogs. We do not buy pop drinks and we do not use white table sugar. We prefer stevia, honey, agave syrup and maple syrup. No harmful electromagnetic radiation - our router and modem are wired, home phone is corded. I attended an art school for eleven years and I like to do arts and crafts with children. We can sing and play on simple music instruments but piano lessons are optional too. Story times, games, outdoor fun with bubbles, parachute, chalk drawing. Children will have a lot of personal attention, less exposure to germs like you can find in large daycare centers. I can drive them to a preschool and activities as well, outings to parks, library, amusement places if parents agree and sign a permission.

Betty J. says "Katarina is excellent with my little boy. She is very accommodating and has lots of fun things for kids to do!"

Thank you for taking time to visit our profile! We are not babysitters, but child care professionals and educators. At Creative Development Child Care we partner with parents to promote the development of each child. We provide a preschool learning environment in a safe, loving and nurturing home. Our goal is for each child to be well prepared for the transition to kindergarten. Because each child is different, we observe and based on individual interest, develop methods to teach each child. We use age-appropriate curriculum and provide lots of opportunity for "creative learning." There are educational, yet fun, field trips. Children have outside play (weather permitting) and nutritional meals (based on federal quality standards). The benefits of having small group care are: 1. The ability to provide individualized attention. 2. Younger children are subliminally exposed to the same materials as the older children (i.e. alphabets, phonics, colors, and numbers). 3. Capability to work with families in the development of their children. "A hundred years from now the world may be better... because I was important in a child's life."

Hello! I am a former special education teacher of 8 years and now I am a stay at home mom of 3 boys ages 9, 7, and 3. I have been watching children in my home since I left teaching 7 years ago and absolutely love it. I feel like my daycare kids become a part of my family. I like to do lots of arts and crafts, learning activities, reading, and trips to the library and parks. I am currently watching one 7 month old boy. I would love to find one to two more children, depending on the ages, to watch in my home. My two older boys will both be in school full time so I will have the ability to provide enough care and attention to one to two more kids. I have a big yard and swing set, and no pets except for fish at this time. I can provide meals or you can bring them. I am pretty easy going and try my best to keep my daycare kids on whatever schedule they are used to. If I sound like I might be a good fit for you please contact me for more information and references! Thanks!

I am a stay at home mother that offers childcare in my home. I have two wonderful children of my own - a 6 year old son that loves to get into everything and makes sure that the house is never too quiet. I also have an 11 year old daughter that loves playing with all the other kids in the house. Both of my children are home-schooled. My home is very laid back and the kids will get to have lots of fun. I have a big fenced in backyard with a swing set that the kids can play on. We also have a family dog. Tiger is a 4 year old rescue that has more energy than most of the kids, any children that are the appropriate height will be subjected to many unsolicited kisses from her. I try to take the kids on a field trip every week or two. I have taken the kids to many great places like the zoo, aquarium, parks, strawberry picking, etc. If you would like to see if my home would be a good fit for your child, just let me know. Availability as of 2/21/2018, I am only providing occasional childcare at this time. If you need help for a one time or occasional event feel free to contact me.
