About the care needs: Looking for someone who is fun and kind, yet good at creating structure and gently setting boundaries. My Dad is a PhD who immigrated from Poland 45+ years ago. Ideally someone who is interested in learning about art, antiques, and enjoys life in general. He has several "project" that he would like assistance with, so someone who is good at computers is a plus. About who needs care: Barbie is my aunt. She has a rare nerve disease which causes her to live In Chronic pain and also has started to recently affect her memory and mobility. She needs to be distributed her medications, she requires meal prep, assistance bathing, and running errands. About the care needs: My aunt is a former interior designer. She is very particular about her home and how she keeps everything around her. Someone middle age and up would be the best fit. She is very traditional and conservative. She can be very straightforward at times so she will need a confident person who understands that my aunt simply gets frustrated with her situation at times. Barbie is highly intelligent and likes interesting conversation but not all day long. She also treasures her alone time and quiet. She has a passion for gardening and has a true talent for any plants and flowers. Unfortunately, its something that she cant enjoy hardly at all anymore. The person caring for my aunt will need to know about chronic pain, at least some knowledge about the types of pain medication she is taking and hopefully appreciate taking great care of my aunts home and Garden. About who needs care: Looking for a male companion while I am attending social activities, encourage short walks, take him to our fitness center, to ride the bike, prepare his lunch, take him out for lunch, do errands, change bed sheets, do laundry, Mostly for social companionship. He is ambulatory but a little unsteady on his feet, does not use a walker. Rises slowly after being seated, very slow while getting in and out of the car. Mentally alert, loves to visit and tell stories, hard of hearing and has hearing aids. Very mild mannered and cooperative. Has little interest in hobbies and spends too much time on his iphone. Likes to take rides in the car. About the care needs: Outgoing, happy personality and enjoys conversation. Specialized skills not needed, someone who can be creative with outings, be cheery, treat him as a friend, not a patient. When needed run errands, i. e. take car to car wash, change bedding and do laundry, fix lunch or dinner, take out trash, pick up a few items from grocery store, etc. and Mike likes to go to the car wash and grocery store. We do have a small dog, Shih-Tzu/Bichon 12 years old, friendly.
