Seeking care for my mother in her 70s. Services needed: companionship, meal preparation, medication prompting, transportation, light housekeeping, errands / shopping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training, support for chronic illness, nursing experience. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be pleasant, independent. She has a chronic illness and takes a lot of meds. Side effects sometimes mean she's confined to home. She has a 5-year labradoodle who is super sweet. I'm looking for someone who is patient, quiet, fond of pets. Someone who knows when to step in and help and when not to. Someone who could spend the night should the need arise. Would be infrequent but nice to have the option. My Mom has a chronic illness but is very independent, she drives, visits family, enjoys gardening, has a great network of friends and family. She reads the paper daily and is interested in politics. She reads a lot as well.
I live nearby and help often.
My siblings and I would feel more comfortable having another person who sees my mom regularly and is available to help with chores, cooking meals, grocery shopping, helping order and organize her medications, and be a companion for outings to the grocery store or visiting friends.
