We have an 7-month-old infant and a 5-year-old. The 5-year-old is starting Kindergarten this year, and will be coming home at 3:30 p.m. She's a sweet and helpful child, and loving big sister, but stubborn and totally immovable if you aren't subtle with how you approach her when she doesn't want to do something. The baby is very happy, loves to play, and is endlessly entertained by her big sister, but has a serious set of lungs. If she doesn't want to sleep, she will scream. This is mostly a nighttime problem, but can occasionally happen during naps when she's going through a general sleep regression. She is a COVID baby though, so she had pretty strong stranger anxiety. She is much better than she used to be, but it's still there. Other than that, she is not a picky eater and stays happy if she isn't bored, hungry, or tired. . Our ideal caregiver: Takes care of the needs of the child, but also actively encourages development and play (crawling, walking, talking, etc). Is kind and understanding, and does not get frustrated at a child's crying. Has a strong sense of integrity and responsibility. Additional needs include light housekeeping, a non-smoker, having a reliable car. Flexible start date. My schedule may vary.
