Santa Rosa Mother's Helpers

Hi there, my name is Emily Joy, and I am a current archaeology student at Sonoma State University. I have worked as both a nanny and a mother's helper for the past eight-plus years and am looking for a new position as my previous job has been outgrown. Or the child has that is, I have helped raise many beautiful children and take the responsibility of being in a child's life seriously. I am a task-oriented individual who thrives in environments that require multitasking and checking things off of lists. I am a proficient cook and a fun, hands-on childcare professional. I do not smoke and have a beautiful driving record as well as a quirky but very usable and safe car.

My name is Maddie; I am so glad you stopped by my profile. I have worked with kids of all ages as a mother's helper, babysitter, and nanny for 10yrs and run a church childcare 7yrs. I have my BA in Psychology and am getting ready to pursue a Masters in family social work. I have recently worked with kids ages 6m-5yo and infants for just short periods of time. I am very interested in their development and would love to try my hand at creating some cool tummy time activities. I love kids sparkling imaginations and I want to encourage that by having a tea party, making a fort, or turning an old box into a race car. I have honed my skills in building with Legos and train tracks. I also enjoy doing arts and crafts but my favorite activity is reading to kids. I also sneak in learning about numbers, letters, and colors all throughout playtime. I am always willing to fold laundry or organize anything because I also want to support you. I am a 24-year-old graduate from Sonoma State University, I have my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education as well as my Associates Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. I have been working with children since I was in high school. I have been a mothers helper, nanny, and have babysat before. Every summer I work at an outdoor summer camp where I am constantly dealing with hundreds of kids between the ages of 5 and 12. I have also worked at their science camp where I was a cabin leader in charge of 12-20 kids for a full week. We stay in cabins for the week and I have dealt with kids that come from all sorts of situations. I have worked in before and after school child care centers and have previously been a Site Director for the YMCA.
