Over this week long camp, your child will learn the basics of photography. We will learn about lighting and composition as well as how the camera works by building a pin hole camera, making solar prints, and developing film in the dark room.

During drawing and painting, your child will learn the basics of drawing and painting. Our intermediate and advanced students will build upon previous skills and work on longer-term projects.

In our subsequent camp session titled "Ceramic Glazing" we will be offering a camp where your children will have a chance to glaze all of their ceramics made during this session.

Now available every Saturday! Kids can come in and work on their own projects or take advantage of our experienced instructors and learn something new. Students may also take on ambitious, ongoing projects if they would like. Studio Time can be used to develop new skills or strengthen current skills. All of our studio resources will be available to students during this time. Parents may drop-in last minute if they would like, buy a class-pack to use anytime during the fall semester, or register in advance. Students may choose to do ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, animation, collage, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking, screen printing, or anything else we have the resources to do. Sky's the limit!

We'll begin on Main Street in the heart of a former warehouse district turned funky nightlife, restaurant, and shopping area. First up, you'll dig into some "cowboy style" BBQ, served with all the fixin's. Next, you'll savor a cup of spicy chilli con carne then cool off with a buttery biscuit served with sweet local honey. On our walk, we'll explore some of the murals and signs that have made Deep Ellum a mecca for all things urban art. Are you ready for a flavor explosion? At our next stop, our delicious Secret Dish is sure to put a little South in your mouth. We'll round things out by taking a trip down memory lane as you discover retro sodas and see candies from the good old days. And finally, it's pie o'clock somewhere as Dallas' favorite dessert meets a beloved Southern liquor - bourbon! As a private tour, everything works around you! It's a much more intimate and cozy experience.
