Hands-on Care Needed For My Loved One In Nashua

Full Time $20 – 30/hr Starts 04/07 Nashua, NH
About who needs care: My 39-year-old Brother lives at home with my senior mother and myself. I work full time and my mother is retired and is needing more assistance than we can currently provide to my brother. My brother has OCD /Anxiety and is within the Autism Spectrum. He walks slowly and speaks minimally. He loves animals sports comic books hiking and walking. We are looking for both household support and support in respite and mentorship for Tim. Tim is independent but needs help with preparing meals and cleaning up after himself. He is able to take care of his bathroom routines independently but can use encouragement as he may take a long time with regards to his OCD. He needs supervision in public for example making sure he is safe crossing the street or making sure he understands how much money to provide the cashier but overall he is very capable and independent. We would need help with household things such as laundry vacuuming and dishes as well. Tim loves to go to the malls comic stores and outdoor areas to hike or play sports such as basketball. He does go to an adult day program three days a week but we are looking for support in the off days evenings and on weekends. We would also be looking for occasional overnight support should my mother and I go on a trip/vacation. Tim is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and my mother and I are beginning the vaccination process as well. About the care needs: Tim has always done well with male support providers that are around his age or older. Someone with shared interests such as sports comic books flea markets nature and animals. This person should have experience working with people with disabilities and preferred experience working with individuals with Asperger's or Autism. This person would be empathetic patient and consistent. Tim thrives in routines so having someone dependable is very important. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing. Preference for a caregiver who is male.
