About who needs care: I need help for my Dad Dad - 91-year-old man who will be 92 in December. - He has some dementia and parkinsons. - You can have an intelligent conversation with him. Sometimes he does get confused, but it seems, when other people are around, he is more lucid. - He requires reminders to wash up in the morning and to brush his teeth in the morning and evening. - Organizing his clothes for the day and his pajamas for the night to be laid out for him. - At night, he needs to be reminded to sit on the potty to help avoid problems in the middle of the night. - I will do his bathing every one or two weeks with dignity clothing. - A caretaker would need to dish out his food and liquids so he can drink by himself. - A caretaker would need to give him his medicines that a family member will package up for him, with notes that explain each time to give them to him (e. g., Morning Pills, 3 p.m. Pills, Evening pills). If you give them to him all at once, he will take them all at once so that is why we will provide the times that he needs to get the pills. - A family member will come in every night to give him his insulin. - Need help with washing and putting away dishes. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
