Being a great caregiver has been very rewarding. I have been doing Private in Home Senior Care since 2007, Full Time and Part Time. I have been using care.com since 2012. Just moved to Arizona Dec. 2018. After my children were grown and on their own I decided I wanted a more gratifying career, after 25 years of being an office manager. I have love every minute of being a Care Giver, if I could do it for free I would. I have experience with Dementia, wheelchair transport, medication dispensing, bathing, toileting, and errands. I am a good cook and very clean housekeeper. Most of my clients love my companionship for I like to be as active as they can be or want to be. They like my east coast turn of phrases. I truly enjoy my work. Current Caregiver Certification and background report available to show at our interview. I look forward to meeting and working with your family/support team. Thank you for reading my profile and I hope to see you soon.

Christine cared for my husband with late stage Parkinson's Disease for about 5 months before his death. She has a great combination of knowledge and compassion. She provided loving care while I was able to get some time to myself and my husband enjoyed having her in the home. She is very easy to work with- flexible and professional. I could leave the home and know things were handled appropriately.

Health Science For The Medically Challenged.

(8)
I specialize in health science for the physically challenged, with exercise and activities to improve function. Many people appreciate my ability to keep their loved ones moving, when others can't. I volunteered at a hospital and worked a for a company providing in home care and stretching for people with disabilities, so I could go back to school to work in health care. After earning a master of science degree in physical therapy, I worked in nursing homes with a variety of patients such as: post-surgical joint replacements, stroke or neurological conditions, amputees, spinal cord injuries, Alzheimer's, dementia, weakness, etc. Including one and a half years doing in-home care of children and youth who had developmental delays or disabilities, I worked for 8 years in that field. Then I pursued other opportunities in science and education, teaching math and science. Now I teach science part time. I have been an independent Direct Care Worker providing in-home care since October 2014.

Allan has been working with my elderly father for several months now and is a wonderful caregiver. Very dependable and flexible with his time, great communication with my parents and with me (I live out of state). My father is so grateful for the compassion and attention to detail he provides. His background in PT is helping to keep my dad active and prevent any falls/injuries. My parents both continue to comment on how polite and considerate he is during his visits. Being in the medical field, I feel I have high standards for what a caregiver should provide and Allan has definitely met those expectations. Thanks Allan!
