Caregiver Requirements Looking for Caregivers who meet the following requirements: Must be trustworthy, dependable, honest, and caring Willingness to travel to clients within our service area Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver license, car registration, and insurance Background checks and drug screenings are required. Previous experience preferred but not required. We can train you! Please bring any documents and certifications you have: TB Test, CPR Certification, CNA License. Caregiver Responsibilities Provide high quality and compassionate care to all of our clients Assist residents with daily living activities Help with safe transfers (Hoyer lift experience is desirable: we can teach you!) Serve meals to patients: may assist in preparing meals Record and report changes in patient's eating habits to our RN supervisors Initiate and participate in leisure activities provided for residents Provide bathroom assistance, bathing, ambulation, shaving, dressing, etc. Maintain residents' records daily and on time Observe and report the health and emotional condition of each client. Assist residents with medication reminders Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for your clients: perform general housekeeping such as light laundry, bed making, cleaning, etc. Follow procedures in emergencies and responds promptly and positively to client requests for assistance. I'm looking for hands-on care for my mother in her 80s. Transportation: Drive to appointments, drive to the house for work, get yourself to your own things when you're on a break. There is a second car if you would like to consider using that car. But you need to get yourself to my parents house. Light Housekeeping: Just normal day to day, helping keep the bathroom clean after a bath etc. Maybe help dad with laundry. He likes to keep busy. Medication Management: Stay on a schedule with prescriptions and refills. Schedule Details: We really need 24 hour care. It can be two people working 12 hours each or one live in person. Maybe even break up the shift from 7:30am-3 p.m. and then have an evening person or the same person come back from 7pm-7 a.m. (sleeping most of that time). Maybe Sunday only 8am-1 p.m. and then 7pm-7 a.m. My mother needs help getting in and out of the wheelchair to the bed, toilet, shower, car, going to doctors appointments, hair appointments, etc. My dad is mobile , but balance is an issue, and he cannot do all of the household chores himself. He still drives and takes care of himself. My mother needs help. My mother needs someone skilled and strong enough to help her get in and out of chairs, wheelchair, bed, shower, etc. / they do have a electric chair to get upstairs. My dad has had some balance issues lately. But he can take care of himself... but he can't take care of mom now. Having someone stay overnight would be mostly in case of an emergency. I'd like someone who kept mom's spirits up, but doesn't talk too much, I think you could have time off during the day unless mom needed to go to doctor or get her hair done. Thanks. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
