Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and and just plain fun! Each week we offer a variety of different media projects (acrylic painting, watercolor, plaster sculpture, mixed media, collage, printmaking, and more!). Projects change each week making it easy for campers to attend multiple weeks of camp without repeating projects, but further exploring the range and depth of mediums. We ensure a good balance between 2D and 3D projects, so whether your young artists prefers to build things and be hands on, paint, draw, or print things they'll be more than pleased! Our camps are not only fun, but an opportunity for young artists to explore art mediums that they typically do not get in school, education in art terminology and art history (including current artists). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Welcome to Splatterbugs — a one-of-a-kind toddler class where little ones (ages 16 months–2.5 years) dive into a colorful world of sensory exploration, messy art, music, social play, and early language development. HOME IS WHERE THE ART IS Come join us for a morning of fun and painting! At this camp your child will paint a house to hang in a tree for a bird or put in a fairy garden. AN OCEAN OF ART Come join in the fun and paint a piece of artwork you can use at the beach! At this camp your child will design an original beach bag unique to them. ADVENTURE IN ARTHOUSE FOREST Join us for a morning of art that is fun, creative, and a little bit magical! At this camp your child will design their own fairy garden using polymer clay which is baked and cooled and then painted all at camp! They will get to create their garden in a small pot, making it easy to display at home. Your child will come home with a completed work of art. AMERICAN ART PARTY Fireworks, picnics, family, and fun, this week is all about celebration! Join the fun and celebrate with the Art House. At this camp your child will create a painting of American wild flowers that garnish the fields around us. Campers will get to design 2 or 3 miniature paintings on 3"x 3" canvases. LOOKS DELICIOUS Join us to get creative as you create tasty looking art! At this camp your child will paint a self portrait of them with a giant ice cream cone using acrylic paint on canvas board. Satisfy your curiosity, and experience a fun and thorough introduction to throwing on the potter’s wheel. Learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more in this exciting introduction to throwing fundamentals. Your instructor guides you through the process of throwing, shaping and trimming pots on the wheel. Special handbuilding project and casting will also included. Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques are also demonstrated. This class is designed for students any level experience on the potter’s wheel. Those who have more experience will complete more pieces/ advanced techniques. Those learning will master the basic skills to create wheel thrown pieces. Register for all classes, as we will build on experience of the students. During our last class, we will meet the last 10-15 minutes of class for an Art Show Presentation. Students will showcase their pieces in an art show to guests. Parents- Invite grandparents, friends and family. All pieces go home the last day of class. Such a fun way for students to share what they have learned through process and design. Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Projects are new every session, so sign-up for both June and July sessions.
