    Arvada, CO

Years of Experience: 40 Location Options: In Studio, In Home Genres: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Country, Acoustic Age Groups: Children, Young Adult, Adult Instruments Taught: Guitar Lessons Overview: Beau has a playing style all his own - one that's both exciting and compelling! Growing up in Orange County, Ca. back in the early 70's was a magical time period in the music scene. One evening Beau's dad came home with a ukelele he had won in a raffle drawing at the local Moose Lodge. He said that he didn't know what he would do with it and Beau quickly asked if he could learn some chords and songs on it. After that he quickly fell in love with it and the rest is history! Beau's talents don't stop with being a guitarist alone, he is a seasoned veteran as a professional in multiple areas of the industry. Accomplishments include studio guitarist, songwriter, singer, technician, producing and an impressive background in audio engineering. Beau's album "This Side of Heaven" was released in 1982 and was Grammy Nominatied the same year! Including guest artists James Dewar (Robin Trower), Richie Furay (Buffalo Springfield/ Poco) and Pauline Wilson (Seawind), critics praised his work with statements like "Hot spicy", "Hard to find a weak cut", "Incredible ability is unquestioned". All songs were written by Beau, along with one which Andrae' Crouch and Beau both collaborated. Relocating to St. Louis in the mid 80's Beau associated and played with the locals there, such as Sheryl Crow, Ralph Butler, Jay Oliver, Dave Weckl, Dan Peek, and others! Beau has performed three times at England's prestigous "GreenBelt Festivals" backing Sir Cliff Richard, Larry Norman and Jesse Dixon. Fender Musical Instruments contacted Beau and offered him a position as resident "Guitar Clinician"/Sales Training Director. Taking on the challenge, Beau performed guitar clinics at numerous locations around the world, sometimes with guitar greats Robben Ford, Jerry Donahue, James Burton and Ray Flacke! Beau has also toured internationally performing extensively in the countries of England, Italy, Australia, Holland, Belgium, Canada, Germany, as well as 49 states of the USA. Over the years with numerous performances, countless miles, and sharpening his skills with other world-class players, Beau has constantly been developing his craft. His sessions, songwriting and "life experiences" have seasoned him into a true artist! Finally, Beau will be releasing two new Cd's this year and are the first in many years! Stay tuned! Formal Education: The Grove School of Music, Los Angeles, Ca. Private Education: At first Beau was "self taught" but then realized he needed to learn music theory and his instrument on a deeper level. Having taken lessons studying from master guitarist Ted Greene and later from his all time favorite guitarist, Buzzy Feiten, Beau has grown to be a world class guitarist. Performing Experience: I have gone on many US and European tours. Gigs/performances/clinics/sessions with: Cliff Richard, James Burton, John Pattitucci,Robben Ford, Ray Flack, Jerry Donahue, Steve Bailey, Dave Weckl, Sheryl Crow and many more! I was Fender's Guitar and amp "Clinician" for 5 years. Fender sent me to England, Germany, Holland, Canada, Australia, Italy, Belgium, ect. Experience Teaching: I spent 5 years teaching in my home (and when I owned a guitar store in California)
