Kids will embark on a creative adventure, building whimsical wooden houses and crafting tiny furniture using a variety of materials, including natural elements and cardboard. Guided by our attentive staff, campers will design and construct their own enchanting fairy worlds, transforming imagination into art. Unleash your creativity in a unique setting at the "In the Dark Art Camp," where young artists are invited to explore the mysterious and captivating world of glow-in-the-dark and UV-responsive art. This immersive art experience encourages campers to step out of the conventional light and dive into techniques that flourish in the dark, stimulating their artistic senses in new and unexpected ways.

Step into the magical world of Giggling Pig Village! This special camp week invites your child to explore the village, meet all the characters, and discover the stories behind their personalities and how they were created. Campers will dive into creativity as they learn about character design, storytelling, and even a little entrepreneurship while bringing their own original characters to life. The fun continues with board-game making, character cards, daily projects, and an exciting village-wide competition! All campers can enter their character for a chance to have it professionally illustrated by creator Hannah Perry. Optional Giggling Pig goodie bags and signed books will also be available. Ages 4-6. THIS WEEK: In this week's class we’re celebrating earth day while we learn about the american pop artist Keith Haring. Haring used his graffiti inspired art to spread awareness for various social causes and believed art should be accessible to all. Similarly, this beautiful planet we call home is meant to be shared in harmony with all its inhabitants, and what better way to spread this holiday's message than with art? Students will reproduce Haring’s expressive yet simplistic style with color blocking, exercising control as they learn useful application techniques. With a strong focus on shape and design, their strokes will transform into a message of gratitude and shared wealth for our beloved earth.

Students will broaden their concepts of value and light with graphite, focusing on various blending and drawing techniques to achieve different results with the same pencil. This monotone project will challenge students to look beyond color to capture their likeness with every stroke.

We will take your child step by step through a painting breaking it down for all to follow. With a very loose and organic stroke everyone who can pick up a paint brush will be able to recreate their very own work of art with our staff's guidance. During the process our staff will educate everyone on technique which will help them to be able to walk away with the ability to practice at home. During each session the children will be able to break for snacks and drinks to help make their time even more fun!

Ages 7-9. THIS WEEK: We’re starting a wild rumpus this week for Maurice Sendack, a beloved children's book illustrator best known for his work “Where the Wild Things Are”. One of the most celebrated authors in children's book history, Sendak is credited for pioneering a more realistic portrayal of childhood and the scope of children's emotions. Students will focus on line and form with this illustrative ink drawing inspired by Sendack’s detailed and expressive style. Encouraging storytelling through images, they will have the opportunity to add their own embellishments as they depict this playful monster. Dress for a mess!
