Join The Giggling Pig for a magical morning of creativity and imagination. In this whimsical wonderland class, students will study elements of nature and learn the foundations of whimsical illustration while creating their own enchanting artwork. We will begin by sketching in pencil, add detail and texture with ink, and then bring the piece to life using watercolor techniques. Each student will complete their artwork with a beautiful mat frame ready to display at home. About the Instructor: Hannah Perry is the founder and creative heart behind The Giggling Pig. She specializes in whimsical illustration inspired by storytelling, imagination, and the beauty of nature. Hannah has illustrated four children’s books and has spent the last 15 years creating nurturing, imaginative art experiences for children and families. WEEK 8 August 3 - 7 Camp Giggles The Giggling Pig World Step into the magical world of Giggling Pig Village! This special camp week invites your child to explore the village, meet all the characters, and discover the stories behind their personalities and how they were created. Campers will dive into creativity as they learn about character design, storytelling, and even a little entrepreneurship while bringing their own original characters to life. The fun continues with board-game making, character cards, daily projects, and an exciting village-wide competition! All campers can enter their character for a chance to have it professionally illustrated by creator Hannah Perry. Optional Giggling Pig goodie bags and signed books will also be available. During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic, slime or canvas painting daily. There will also be options to create freely in our recycled section! We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered we more options this year. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities! ​

Join us for a special 3-hour drop-off class in honor of Juneteenth, where we’ll explore art inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Known for his bold colors, expressive marks, and graffiti influences, Basquiat’s work combines free, child-like expression with layered symbolism, creating pieces that are both playful and full of meaning. Students will learn about the artist’s style and how he used repetition, symbols (like crowns), handwritten words, and loose, sketch-like drawings to communicate ideas. Using a mix of materials, they’ll create their own layered, expressive, Basquiat-inspired artwork. This workshop offers a fun and engaging way to celebrate, learn, and create—while honoring the spirit of Juneteenth through art.

Dive into a magical week of sea life! From seashells and sandcastles to mermaids and starfish, campers will explore all the wonders of the ocean through hands-on creativity and imagination. This week, your child will bring home starfish sculptures, canvas paintings, and beautiful ocean-inspired illustrations—plus a few surprise seashell treasures we can’t wait to share! Furry friends make the best friends! This week campers will explore all things furry and four-legged. Working with pencil, acrylics, ink, watercolors, and clay, campers will learn new illustration skills and creative techniques each day. Join us as we make our way through the zoo and learn to draw, paint, and sculpt our way through the wonderful world of furry friends!

It’s Sculpture Week—hooray! We’re so excited for this hands-on, wonderfully messy week of creativity. Campers should come dressed for a mess and ready with patience as we design, build, and sculpt our pets—or the pets we wish we had! Using clay, papier-mâché, and plaster, we’ll spend the week bringing their creations to life as they work toward a magical finished piece. Campers will also have the chance to create extra accessories for their pets, including homes, collars, leashes, and even tiny crowns. It’s a week full of imagination, sculpting, and so much fun!

As summer draws to a close, we're giving campers the freedom to choose their creative adventures for the final days of camp. Each day, we'll offer a selection of activities ranging from canvas painting and ceramics to slime making and collage crafting. Campers can decide how they want to spend their day, exploring different mediums and expressing their unique artistic styles. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to dive into what they love most and end their summer with a burst of creativity and personal expression. Join us for these last few days of fun-filled, self-directed creativity!

Last year we made fairy houses, but this year we will be creating homes for our dolls, stuffies or what ever you have at tucked into your bed! From building the boxes, to designing the wallpaper and carpets, to building furniture. We have geared this week to all aged children. We are looking forward to seeing rooftop terraces and mini furniture.

Yay! We are so Excited for another Kids Night Out! Drop the kids from 5:30 - 8PM where we will be spending the night making gifts for dad! We will be creating our very own little monsters paintings and a very special clay monster! Pizza will be served!

This is Miss Hannah's favorite week of summer! We will be making some really beautiful works of art this week from portraits to making flowers, painted vases and more! This is a great week for all ages!

Calling all young writers, illustrators, and storytellers! In this creative and inspiring workshop, students will dream up, write, illustrate, and bind their very own handmade books. Throughout the week, artists will explore what makes a story come alive—memorable characters, vivid settings, exciting conflicts, and imaginative details. Students may create stories inspired by summer adventures, fantasy worlds, friendships, mysteries, nature, family memories, or entirely original ideas. Guided prompts and brainstorming activities will help each child find a story they’re excited to tell. As writers and artists, students will develop their story structure, design their pages, create illustrations, and think about how words and images work together to create meaning. They’ll receive support and encouragement along the way, while also having room to make creative choices and develop their own voice. To complete their books, students will design a mixed-media cover and bind their pages together with ribbon, creating a beautiful handmade keepsake to take home and share. Perfect for imaginative kids who love writing, drawing, storytelling, and bringing original ideas to life!

There is so much culture in New Haven, and we absolutely love it! Many of our campers are visiting us from around the world or spending a semester here, and we are honored to celebrate each of your unique cultures every single day. This week is extra special! We’re diving into the vibrant world of famous artists and their masterpieces. Campers will be painting on canvas, Illustrating in their own unique style, taking fun daily quizzes and learning about art through the lens of global culture. We can’t wait to explore, create, and celebrate with you!

Join us on Saturdays & Sundays for an early morning drop off - We have teamed up with Power Yoga in Pound Ridge to give parents an opportunity to get some time to themselves without worry about a sitter. We start drop off at 9:15am and pick up is after yoga class. We will create a different project each week as well as offer sensory stations. MUST PRE REGISTER!
