Activites, Camps and After School Classes in Pound Ridge, NY

Last year we made fairy houses, but this year we will be creating homes for our dolls, stuffies or what ever you have at tucked into your bed! From building the boxes, to designing the wallpaper and carpets, to building furniture. This week is not ideal for children under 7 years old as there will be a lot of hot glue and building, but they can still give it their best try. ​ We are looking forward to seeing rooftop terraces and mini furniture.

During this 1 hour class your child will develop essential skills that will help them to be ready for preschool. From fine manipulative development and gross motor skills, to creative problem solving and observation skills. The best thing about this class isn't just that the kids make a mess here and you don't have to clean up! There is no wrong or right way to take part. You do not need to stay the whole time. Come in when you are ready and stay as long as you want. We say to aim for 30 minutes to start with and try adding 15 minutes each time until your little one has developed their attention a little more.

Unleash your creativity in a unique setting at the "In the Dark Art Camp," where young artists are invited to explore the mysterious and captivating world of glow-in-the-dark and UV-responsive art. This immersive art experience encourages campers to step out of the conventional light and dive into techniques that flourish in the dark, stimulating their artistic senses in new and unexpected ways.​ ​

There is so much culture in New Haven, and we absolutely love it! Many of our campers are visiting us from around the world or spending a semester here, and we are honored to celebrate each of your unique cultures every single day. This week is extra special! We’re diving into the vibrant world of famous artists and their masterpieces. Campers will be painting on canvas, Illustrating in their own unique style, taking fun daily quizzes and learning about art through the lens of global culture. We can’t wait to explore, create, and celebrate with you!

Try the violin in this intro to the Suzuki method with Miss Jessica. A beginner strings class, we will play the violin learning about the instrument, singing songs and making our own beginner box violin. This will include a demonstration on the cello as well!

A Little of Everything Week is exactly that! Campers get to explore a bit of everything—from slime and ceramics to canvas art, clay projects, and so much more. Each day offers new choices and creative adventures, and we can’t wait to see what your child picks and what they create! ​

As summer draws to a close, we're giving campers the freedom to choose their creative adventures for the final days of camp. Each day, we'll offer a selection of activities ranging from canvas painting and ceramics to slime making and collage crafting. Campers can decide how they want to spend their day, exploring different mediums and expressing their unique artistic styles. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to dive into what they love most and end their summer with a burst of creativity and personal expression. Join us for these last few days of fun-filled, self-directed creativity!

It’s a wonderful week of illustration! Campers will create using ink, pencil, and colored pencils while learning the basics of drawing. We’ll also explore famous illustrators and artists, discovering how they bring their ideas to life. Throughout the week students will develop drawing skills, practice shading techniques, and even learn to use watercolors to add color and personality to their artwork. Get ready for a creative journey full of imagination and beautifully illustrated masterpieces!

Join the s for this 3 hour drop off class where we will make slime, paint a ceramic, and spend time with friends in a safe creative environment. Bring a snack and a water bottle.

Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-8 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes. Dress for a mess! We use acrylic paints and sometimes they are difficult to remove from clothes!

Furry friends make the best friends! This week campers will explore all things furry and four-legged. Working with pencil, acrylics, ink, watercolors, and clay, campers will learn new illustration skills and creative techniques each day. Join us as we make our way through the zoo and learn to draw, paint, and sculpt our way through the wonderful world of furry friends!

Dive into a magical week of sea life! From seashells and sandcastles to mermaids and starfish, campers will explore all the wonders of the ocean through hands-on creativity and imagination. This week, your child will bring home starfish sculptures, canvas paintings, and beautiful ocean-inspired illustrations—plus a few surprise seashell treasures we can’t wait to share! Join us for a wave of fun and creativity!

It’s Sculpture Week—hooray! We’re so excited for this hands-on, wonderfully messy week of creativity. Campers should come dressed for a mess and ready with patience as we design, build, and sculpt our pets—or the pets we wish we had! Using clay, papier-mâché, and plaster, we’ll spend the week bringing their creations to life as they work toward a magical finished piece. Campers will also have the chance to create extra accessories for their pets, including homes, collars, leashes, and even tiny crowns. It’s a week full of imagination, sculpting, and so much fun!

During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic, slime or canvas painting daily. There will also be options to create freely in our recycled section! We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered we more options this year. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities! ​

WEEK 8 August 3 - 7 Camp Giggles The Giggling Pig World Full Day 1/2 Day AM 1/2 Day PM Step into the magical world of Giggling Pig Village! This special camp week invites your child to explore the village, meet all the characters, and discover the stories behind their personalities and how they were created. Campers will dive into creativity as they learn about character design, storytelling, and even a little entrepreneurship while bringing their own original characters to life. The fun continues with board-game making, character cards, daily projects, and an exciting village-wide competition! All campers can enter their character for a chance to have it professionally illustrated by creator Hannah Perry. Optional Giggling Pig goodie bags and signed books will also be available.
