Activities, Camps and After School Classes in Pound Ridge, NY

Last year we made fairy houses, but this year we will be creating homes for our dolls, stuffies or what ever you have at tucked into your bed! From building the boxes, to designing the wallpaper and carpets, to building furniture. This week is not ideal for children under 7 years old as there will be a lot of hot glue and building, but they can still give it their best try. ​ We are looking forward to seeing rooftop terraces and mini furniture.

Join us weekly for a creative, sensory based art class for the little ones in your life. Each week we will have stations set up for exploring freely, and a weekly art project to create together. This is a great time to get to know others and make new friends, not just for the kids, but for us grown ups too!

Join us for open studio sessions where you can choose from our ceramic or canvas options. Sessions start at 4:30PM and end at 5:30PM.

During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic, slime or canvas painting daily. There will also be options to create freely in our recycled section! We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered we more options this year. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities! ​

Clay Creations Month at The Giggling Pig Join us for a hands-on clay experience! This month our young artists will explore the magic of clay by creating pinch pots and relief sculptures. Students will learn fun sculpting techniques while shaping, building, and designing their own unique creations. Projects will remain in the studio to dry and be painted, and will be ready to take home at the end of the month. Working with clay helps children develop: • Fine motor skills • Creativity and imagination • Patience and focus • Confidence in their artistic abilities We can’t wait to see what our artists create!

Join us on Sunday mornings for a delightful canvas painting experience! Each week, we’ll guide you step by step in creating a new masterpiece, or you can choose to paint your own unique creation. Whether you prefer to follow along with our featured image or let your imagination run wild, Sundays at The Giggling Pig Art Studio are sure to be more fun than ever!

As summer draws to a close, we're giving campers the freedom to choose their creative adventures for the final days of camp. Each day, we'll offer a selection of activities ranging from canvas painting and ceramics to slime making and collage crafting. Campers can decide how they want to spend their day, exploring different mediums and expressing their unique artistic styles. It's a wonderful opportunity for them to dive into what they love most and end their summer with a burst of creativity and personal expression. Join us for these last few days of fun-filled, self-directed creativity!

Unleash your creativity in a unique setting at the "In the Dark Art Camp," where young artists are invited to explore the mysterious and captivating world of glow-in-the-dark and UV-responsive art. This immersive art experience encourages campers to step out of the conventional light and dive into techniques that flourish in the dark, stimulating their artistic senses in new and unexpected ways.​ ​

There is so much culture in New Haven, and we absolutely love it! Many of our campers are visiting us from around the world or spending a semester here, and we are honored to celebrate each of your unique cultures every single day. This week is extra special! We’re diving into the vibrant world of famous artists and their masterpieces. Campers will be painting on canvas, Illustrating in their own unique style, taking fun daily quizzes and learning about art through the lens of global culture. We can’t wait to explore, create, and celebrate with you!

Each week, we’ll explore a new hands-on activity for caregivers and children to enjoy together, along with sensory stations filled with textures, colors, and imagination. It’s a beautiful space to meet other moms and caregivers, share a moment, and watch your little ones create, explore, and giggle. Join in the fun—or simply relax while we embrace the joyful mess of childhood together.

Furry friends make the best friends! This week campers will explore all things furry and four-legged. Working with pencil, acrylics, ink, watercolors, and clay, campers will learn new illustration skills and creative techniques each day. Join us as we make our way through the zoo and learn to draw, paint, and sculpt our way through the wonderful world of furry friends!

It’s Sculpture Week—hooray! We’re so excited for this hands-on, wonderfully messy week of creativity. Campers should come dressed for a mess and ready with patience as we design, build, and sculpt our pets—or the pets we wish we had! Using clay, papier-mâché, and plaster, we’ll spend the week bringing their creations to life as they work toward a magical finished piece. Campers will also have the chance to create extra accessories for their pets, including homes, collars, leashes, and even tiny crowns. It’s a week full of imagination, sculpting, and so much fun!

Dive into a magical week of sea life! From seashells and sandcastles to mermaids and starfish, campers will explore all the wonders of the ocean through hands-on creativity and imagination. This week, your child will bring home starfish sculptures, canvas paintings, and beautiful ocean-inspired illustrations—plus a few surprise seashell treasures we can’t wait to share! Join Miss Maya on Thursday's for a wonderful art class on illustration and watercolor where students will explore their own unique ways of drawing. This is not a step by step class and we don't create a finished project each week. We are creating a collect of work and developing skills.
