In elementary school, I heard my first orchestra perform and fell in love with the French Horn and that became my second instrument. As a teenager, I was interested in a guitar my father had in the corner and taught myself to play and by the time I was in college I started playing electric bass guitar in a band with friends. Eventually I bought an electric guitar and continued to teach myself to play and even learned how to fix and modify it. As an adult, I learned to play drums and continue to enjoy playing them to this day. Piano, however, is my first love and has always been with me. It is the "master instrument" and as such my approach to teaching it is classical and structured. I learned that practice does make perfect. Learning piano can improve a person's concentration and memory as well as soothe your soul. This is why of all the instruments I have played, the piano remains my beloved favorite.
