By the time Gary was 18, he had played in or led two 70s covers bands, a bluegrass band that featured a Grand Ole Opry band member and his hometown's first punk rock band. In the ensuing years, Gary has written well over 500 songs, recorded and produced several albums, served as the Music Director for a theatrical company, earned his BS degree in Education, and served as the Music Director and Fine Arts Department chair for a public school.
