Hi, I have a lot of experience with senior citizens. I work second shift in the ER of a hospital and most of our patients are over 80. I started there 14 years ago as a volunteer, they hired me and certified me. It is very rewarding. I have taken care of many seniors including my father, father in law, and my mother in law. My first senior job was for 2 1/2 years. She was 86, had Parkinson's and Dementia, was incontinent and used a walker. I was there for her Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. I changed and fed her, gave medicines, took her out in my car, cleaned the house, raked leaves, shoveled snow, etc. I am a widow, the mother of 3 beautiful grown daughters, very proud, they all work hard and have college degrees. I have 6 wonderful grandchildren, I like to keep busy. Right now I take a 94-year-old female out For shopping and lunch 2 times a week after I shower her, do her hair and tidy up her room (she's in assistant living). I have been with her for 3 years.
