10+ Years Tutoring Experience / Tutor of All Ages / Mentor / Academic Coach Hello there! I've been a tutor for 10 years and have worked with kids and young adults of all ages. I'm an expert at figuring out where the issues lie, fixing them, setting up a plan of action, and of course making sure that every lesson is fun and educational! My specialties include: math, SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, writing, ELA, homework help, and study skills. I taught an SAT class at Tufts and a PSAT class at Georgetown over the summer, both of which went very well. I've also tutored math at all levels and make it fun and interactive. I've also taught several successful ELA classes of various ages. I've also received my MBA from Bentley University and have tutored many business students with their studies. I'm happy to speak with you over the phone to see if this could be a great fit. Thanks! Liz

Liz has changed my daughter's academic life! My 11th grader has ADHD and a learning disability and has always really struggled in school. She started meeting regularly with Liz and just made honor roll for the first time! Liz is patient, flexible and smart. My daughter says she is organized and also knows how to teach organizational skills, is interesting, easy to get a long with and super likable! I appreciate that Liz is helping my daughter with her grades, but more importantly helping she helps her to learn the material. We both agree that my daughter will continue to use the skills and strategies Liz has taught her, through college and in all aspects of life. We have hired many tutors and are so grateful we found Liz!

A Creative And Flexible Approach To Tutoring

Avg response < 6 hrs
As a creative person who's passionate about writing, literature, and the English language, I aim to provide an innovative and uniquely designed approach in every one of my tutoring sessions. I'm currently working as a private English tutor and also as an online tutor at University of Massachusetts Lowell's Writing Center. I've taken an intensive training seminar on teaching writing and tutoring and I'm an experienced writer who has won awards and scholarships in high school and college for my writing and English work. My tutoring experience ranges college-level and graduate students to elementary and high school learners. As a self-motivated college student myself, I'm interested in working with all types of students, adapting to their versatile learning styles and needs, and providing informative advice on all aspects of the English language varying from grammar concepts to college application essays. Please message me for more information!

Emma has been a great help working with my 8th grader on schoolwork--specifically essays--as well as high school applications. Emma is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and encouraging as well as a terrific communicator; she can be relied on to confirm sessions ahead of time, let me know if by some chance she's running late, and is very flexible when we need to shift things. I highly recommend her as a tutor.
