Hello Parents of all Ages, The Early childhood period is very important because these are the valuable stages in which children brain is developing. During the age Birth to Age five, children are learning important, exciting, creative and imaginary things for each stage in their lives. It is my belief that children learn best through communication, bonding, nurturing, being in a safe and healthy environment, exploring the outdoors and most importantly through love. I believe that the most educational aspect in an infant to school-age life is their Physical, Social, and Mental Learning Environment. A healthy environment allows children to explore, take the initiative to seeing how things work, problem solve and communicate with peers while learning and building on their vocabulary. Deciding to work in the field of Early childhood became a goal. The goal of wanting to help each child develop while strengthening their weakness and challenging their strengths. It Is important to give children the tools to grow, be curious and take the initiative to learn how to think outside of the box. I have taken on the responsibility of creating a daily routine and lesson in which children are dedicated to and value their own interest and skills while I myself document the children progress in the early stages of education. Education doesn't start in a school; education start at home. The first stages of learning is bonding which allows children to form that connection with the teachers, educators and parents. Coming from a field of social work; my job was listening to the parents not the building and gaining the trust of the children. I felt if you had the trust of the parent, the child would adjust and connect with you. After being in the field for nearly twenty years, I was introduced to the Early Learning Guidelines handbook. This book showed me the stages of growth, what development stages a child should be at according to their age and how educators like myself can support the children. I've come to realize that a trusting relationship with adults is about listen carefully to what the child has to say. Expand on the conversation by asking question to things that interest them. Observe children in group and independently allowed me focus on what are their area of strengthen and areas of weakness were. Early Childhood wasn't my first career of chose; looking back over the years on how I've became knowledgeable, took trainings and educational course. I'm a leader!

Kristal P. says "Quintasha provide phenomenal care and education to the children. There is a set curriculum and constant growth. My daughter continues to excel in her...

Little Achievers has been successfully operating since July 2021. Being a new school to the area, I can assure you we are not new to the field. My name is Jennifer Cahill and I am the Educational Director/Owner. I have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for the last 14 years. I am a Certified Teacher and hold a Professional New York State Teaching License for General Education/Special Education birth-6th Grade. I am a Bay Ridge, Brooklyn native and have lived in the area most of my life, which is another reason why I hold this center and location dear to my heart. Location: Family Day Care takes place in the loving and caring environment of a home. The site will provide a warm, cozy, comfortable feeling for your child. In a residential area, your child will not be subjected to the noise and traffic of a commercial strip. In addition, the ratio of care is much smaller in a family day care. Therefore, your child is more likely to get more individualized attention. The facility is located close enough to the Belt Parkways, Q11 Bus and the A Train to make traveling convenient. Licensing: Reach For The STARS! is a full licensed Group Family Day Care Center, licensed through the NYC Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene. As a result, routine site visits are conducted to insure that we are in compliance and the facility is a safe place for children. Also, fingerprinting of each employee and a background check is done. Experience and Training: As well as having vast experience in child care, from their own children and from working in child care situations, our staff participates in educational, health and safety trainings on an ongoing basis. The staff is also CPR certified. Tracking of Development and Growth: Parents are kept informed about their children s progress and problems. Each day your child goes home with a Daily Report Card . This lets parents know what their child had done throughout the day, what they learned, what they ate, when they slept and other comments. Also, at the end of the week, parents are given a summery of the past week s lesson plan and suggested weekend activities to re-enforce what the children have worked on. In addition, parents are welcomed to discuss policies and operations of the center.

Elite Scholars Christian Academy is committed to creating a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program that s designed to promote social, academic, physical and moral growth needed for the children to be prepared for their transition to Kindergarten. Toddler (Ages 12mos-3): Our toddlers are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play. Their days are filled with music, art, dance, story times and more. Preschool (Ages 3-4): Although it may seem like fun and games to preschoolers, the curriculum we follow is packed with educational elements. Games abound that teach pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness and letter and sound recognition; basic math concepts; and hands-on science exploration. Pre-Kindergarten (Ages 4-5): The Pre-Kindergarteners focus on reading, early writing, and basic math. Foreign language, science, social studies, art, music and physical education round out the learning. Elementary/After School (Ages 5-12): School-age children are given a quiet environment for homework and projects, with supervised access to computers and assistance as needed. Also available to elementary students are crafts, games and physical activities. WE DEVELOP FOUR ESSENTIAL SKILLS: SOCIAL SKILLS | Elite Scholars is a loving, caring Christian environment where a child is nurtured and supported as they leave home and go off to school. It is in this environment that we tenderly lead each child we serve, to adjust to being away from home while at the same time, help them learn social skills for life. ACADEMIC SKILLS | The Program is also about the task of developing academic skills that will prepare our students for Kindergarten and for life. We feel solid, fundamental education is vital for our students and if those skills are taught at any early age, they are more prepared for future learning. PHYSICAL SKILLS | We have the desire to lead our children to be healthy for life. Along with the social and academic skills, we promote physical skills as well. The students are taught small and large motor skills. MORAL SKILLS | We believe that the Bible is our most important moral guide to life. Thus, students are taught stories from the Bible that enables them to see what behaviors are proper and pleasing to God. This is by no means the last or the least skill taught to our students.

Joyce T says "Excellent school. My 3 year old is showing great independence and progress within 2 weeks of attending. I couldn't be more pleased"
