There are toys, books, resources, and equipment available for the children to use. Children will be mostly guided in developing appropriate social skills, communication skills, home living skills, and how to work independently and together. TCLC offers a small group setting in order to maintain quality child care. In my opinion, children have approximately thirteen years of school to accomplish. The preparation I offer the children is to help them be familiar with what kindergarten has to offer. This is not a structural school such as a Montessori, private, or preschool. I believe children's play is their work and they learn according to their developmental stages. Therefore, I believe in-home childcare better meets their needs in the beginning stages of their lives.
