Townie Tots Day Care is a family home daycare located in East Providence, RI. We are a small, structured, fun and nurturing environment for children, ages 12 months to 5 years old. We want children to feel safe and excited to come to daycare each day. We hope to facilitate growth and learning for all our children through play, exploration and planned activities. Lunch as well as two snacks are provided daily for all children.

My name is Cassie and I own this home family daycare. We focus on learning through play, creativity, exploration and imagination. I have a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, specializing in child and adolescent mental health. I have been working with children of all ages for approximately 17 years, whether it be as a babysitter, nanny, crisis counselor, behavioral therapist, mental health counselor as well as being a mother to three children (9 months, 2.5 years and 4 years old).

As a group we engage in weekly craft activities, baking/cooking, as well as age appropriate sensory play opportunities. Given my experience working in the mental health field, I will be teaching basic self regulation skills, identifying and coping with feelings, age appropriate safety and social skills as well as respect for others.

We have circle-time each morning to allow the children to participate in songs, movement activities, practicing naming and recognizing colors, shapes, numbers and letters followed by daily calendar and schedule as well as story time. We sing songs and have dance parties daily.

There is group activity time which is geared toward allowing children to engage based on their own individual abilities. This activity could be a craft, cooking or baking, a learning exercise, music class, sensory play, outdoor play or through the use of play-doh!

After lunch, we have a mandatory quiet time/rest period for all of the children. Older children can use this time to read while younger children nap. In the afternoon, we offer periods of free play along with small group activities to encourage thinking, imaginative play, and learning.

There is a good sized yard which is fully fenced in. We have a large play set to include swings, playhouse, rock wall and slide. The yard also has several ride on vehicles and bikes. In the warmer months, children have access to the sandbox and water play daily.

Kats Dance Centre & Performing Arts - Where you learn to dance and join a family!

At KDCPA we take our roles as mentors and teachers in your child's life very seriously. It is our objective to inspire a passion for the art of dance in every child who passes through our doors. In the process, we strive to set the right example and help your child (and you) create memories that will last a lifetime.

For 35 years KDCPA has been committed to providing dance and performing arts classes to enhance the overall development of a child. We provide a safe and child-centered environment to encourage, and help our students explore the art of dance with qualified, nurturing teachers and staff.

We believe that dance and the performing arts promote creativity, self-confidence, focus, empowerment, healthy mind & body, positive self image, improves coordination skills, and give children the freedom to express themselves through movement.

KDCPA is very family oriented and is not a competitive dance studio. We start our students as young as 21 months old and continue up through adults. We have several performances throughout the year for our students to enjoy. We travel to Walt Disney to perform, we have holiday celebrations, family functions, fundraisers and more to enjoy.

Students begin friendships here that have lasted the test of time. It is a positive place for both students and parents. Our classes are kept small, and our younger classes have 1 teacher and 2 or more assistants in each class. Parents can view the class in progress while sitting in our waiting room from our TV monitor. This helps to alleviate the anxiety of separation.

We would love for you to try us on for size before registering and paying any fees! You are welcome to come in and take a FREE class, meet the staff, see the studio and asks questions! We want to be sure we are the right studio for you before registering.

We offer classes in: Jazz, Pop Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Hippity Hop, Acrobatics, Preschool, Tiny-Tots, Tiny Tumblers, Theatre & Adult Zumba, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet

Our dance family awaits your visit!

Hello, my name is Kristine and I am the owner of Koala Kids Child Care. I am First-Aid & CPR certified, fingerprinted and CORI. Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. We are open year round from 7:30 to 5:00. The child care is located in a separate area of the home. I have lived in Seekonk for 24 years. I hold Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and have 24 + years experience in the child care field. I am a 46 year old mother of four wonderful children. I started this Child Care because I enjoy my job and I take my job very seriously and offer the best possible care that I can provide. I spend many of my off time hours preparing, so that your child will have an exciting and fun learning experience each day. I also attend many classes on an ongoing basis in order to constantly improve my knowledge and skills.I am a professional Day Care provider with a loving passion for my work which shines through in my program for the children. It is my wish to provide a place for your child to learn and grow that allows you to have peace of mind while you have to be away.

Our child care is a combination of child care and preschool which gives the children the advantages of being in a smaller setting while gaining skills that they will need when they begin their Kindergarten year. We have all the space and amenities of a center based program, but we have the benefits of a small class size. Having children in the same setting and with the same teacher year after year until Kindergarten also provides children with a sense of security, consistency, and trust making it a more comfortable learning environment for your child.
