Caring, Kind, And Fun Sitter

I've been working with kids since I was 11 years old! I started as a mother's helper and have since gone on to work with countless families as a nanny and babysitter. I've also worked as the head infant teacher and a head preschool teacher at multiple daycare centers, including the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. I'm CPR and first aid certified to Navy standards (stricter than state standards) and have my CDA- Child Development Associate. I'm in school now for cosmetology, but I still enjoy working with children and would love to find a full or part time babysitting or nannying job. I believe being hands-on in a fun, welcoming learning environment is best and try to plan age-appropriate crafts and activities rather than using screen time. I'm a big fan of reading as well, and wrote a thesis paper on the benefits of reading to children at a young age. When I'm not working, I try to be active and enjoy yoga, hiking, paddleboarding, and going to the beach.

Ali has been watching my kid's for years. We struggled to find a sitter we trusted. Our immediate feeling when Ali met our kids was warmth, and fun. It was obvious she loved our kids like they were her own. Our kids fell in love with her immediately and asked many times for her to come back. I wish I could keep her for myself as quality babysitters are hard to find. Ali is a genuine, loving and kind woman. She is interactive with my kids. Will do arts and crafts and snuggle with them. I feel safe leaving my kids with her for an extended amount of time.

Hello! I have been working with kids for the last 15 years in many capacities. I worked full time for the city municipality as the childcare manager, Youth Sports and Extra Curricular Activity Coordinator, camp councilor, and sports camp and clinic director. However, my favorite is when I'm nannying or babysitting! Throughout high school, college and into my professional career I've always babysat for local families. Most of my families have two kids but I've nannied for a families with up to 5 kids as well. I've created such great relationships with these families even years after their kids are too old for a nanny (a few of them were at my wedding!). During my years as a nanny I've cooked, tidied up, worked on homework, carpooled, attended sporting events, along with all the basic fun crafts and activities. This past school year was my first year not babysitting and I've missed the light hearted and silly bond I make with kids and family's and I can't wait to get back to it!

Esther was an absolute joy to have as part of our family when she cared for our two children as our morning nanny (prior to the start of each school day). She was dependable, flexible, and timely. She had a lot to do in a short time frame each morning to get our children up, fed, dressed and out the door. Esther treated our children with kindness and respect. She was firm, but fair. We often asked more of Esther...during snow days (staying with our children at home for longer), inclement weather (driving our older daughter to school so she doesn't walk in the rain/ice) or with our son to pass important information/notes along to his preschool teachers. Esther was always willing to lend an extra hand to support our busy family. She is exceptional.

Looking for a summer job. I hopefully will go to college in the fall. I have a good amount of experiences working with kids. During my senior year of high school, I started worked at a home day care, ages range from 9 months to 5-year-old. I also was a camp counselor in the summer of 2018 and 2019 for 3rd and 4th graders. I'm also an Early Childhood Education and Psychology major at Lesley University. For my ECE major, I'm placed in different classroom around the Cambridge area. I've been placed in Pre-K and Kindergarten classroom. I'm certified in pediatric and adult CPR and first aid. I'm comfortable with changing diapers, give a bottle, doing a little housekeeping, cooking meals, bathing and changing clothes. I also have a car!

To whom it may concern, children Elyse started as a mother's helper at the age of 11 to a well known family to me. She has natural instincts when caring for children. She is extremely flexible and able to adapt easily to changes in routine. She is patient and calm with children. I seen her manage up to 3 children easily. She continued to provide childcare for many families with ages from 3 months old to 10 years old. She is able to cook simple meals and clean. She does not depend on TV or other media to distract children. She enjoys crafts and playing games. The best description I can say is she is a zen child care giver. She is able to care for quiet children and outgoing active children. She is able to discipline with kind words and she is very effective. She often says I am not their mother, I support her choices by respecting the mothers wishes.
