I then worked for multiple families as a maid and soon transitioned to becoming more of a nanny or babysitter. Many of the families that I worked for had children and over the years came to trust only me with their children. I then began to babysit on weekends and would often have mothers leave their children with me to go run errands. When my granddaughter was born I decided to start my own day care because I love to be around children and care for them. I went to county-led meetings to start my own daycare business and received a certificate for having attended that conference. I knew that I wanted a small daycare to provide individualized, quality care to every child. I am a voluntarily registered family home daycare and am following the guidelines the county also provides to licensed centers. I have my infant/child/adult CPR and basic First Aid certification.
