Kira's Care Giving! Quality Babysitting, Dog Sitting & Cat Sitting In The East Bay!

I'm a 29-year-old California native who grew up in San Francisco. I attended UC Berkeley and I have been living in Oakland ever since. I just adore dog sitting and babysitting! Babysitting: I started babysitting when I was 10 years old for my next door neighbor's newborn infant. I took care of their child almost every week until he was 2 years old and they moved away. I also did some long term babysitting in high school for two siblings ages 7 and 9. Additionally, I was a camp counselor in high school and took care of a group of 8-9 year girls around the clock for 5 day periods. After high school I focused on attending college and later moved to Hawaii. I currently work as a Business Manager for three small companies in San Francisco and I dog sit in my free time. Dog sitting: I have fostered senior dogs with Muttville as a way to give back to the community. I have also fostered lots of puppies and kittens with the East Bay SPCA and I try to rescue as many cats and dogs as I can from the streets of Oakland. Dogs and cats have always been a part of my family, although I currently don't have my own pup or kitty. I also used to work at a doggie daycare in San Francisco. I have experience with senior dogs as well as dogs with aggression issues. I adore pit bulls and have zero prejudice against them. I enjoy keeping pets occupied and comfortable while you are out of town whether that be at my house or yours. I am a clean, quiet and respectful house guest who understands how daunting it can be to trust your home and your animals with a stranger. My boyfriend and I have had our home in East Oakland for the last six years which has a huge fenced in backyard. We both are certified in Pet First Aid & CPR (by the American Safety & Health Institute). We are also conveniently located near the Oakland International Airport, the Oracle Arena and the O.co Coliseum. Feel free to drop your pet off while you catch a game or head to the airport! In the morning I walk the pup 15-20 minutes and feed breakfast before I leave for work (as a Business Manager in SF). My partner (who also shares my love of animals) is home during the day and will keep your pet entertained with extra walks, supervised backyard play time and treats. After I arrive home (about 5:30pm) I take the pup out for another 15-20 minute walk. Then comes dinner followed by some play time and snuggles. Before bed we will go for another walk or just play in my backyard. I like to mimic your dog's at-home sleeping arrangement as much as possible and I'm really flexible! On the weekends we would enjoy longer hikes sometimes around Lake Merritt, Joaquin Miller Park or MLK Shoreline Park. I'm happy to give baths and medications as needed. I also have experience with caring for bearded dragons, fish, turtles and cats (including administering oral medication to cats). I also email and text photo updates every other day or so. We always have extra kibble, treats, dog beds and dog toys available to keep things fun and cozy. Our dogs and cats are family and I'm happy to provide lots of love and support while you are out of town.
