Loving, Funny, Gentle Caregiver
For the past two years, I have taken care of my 86-year-old grandmother. At first, I felt like I was obligated to do it for my family. To be honest, I saw it as quite a challenging burden. My assumptions were wrong. Though, like any other job, there were days more frustrating than others, I found myself extremely warmhearted in accompanying her from day to day. The recipes, laughs and old stories I learned are irreplaceable and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I find myself more lighthearted because of her. Knowing that she was happy, well and fed gave me overwhelming satisfaction. I fell in love with this job. My aunt is now moving in with my grandmother due to other family circumstances. I thought about it for the past few weeks now, if I wanted to continue with senior caregiving, if I wanted to get attached to another great old soul like my grandmothers, like mine. And I do. So here I am, in search of another adventure. I am looking to start immediately, and would love to meet you guys.
